Mike got crapped 4 times yesterday on B & B. He would like to believe that proves that people listen to his show.

He is correct they do listen. However, I believe that they listen to the 'Score'. I actually listen less now that Mike North and his 9th grade education have permeated the air waves with items that he finds interesting and insightful.

Personally, I listened more when Fred and Murph had a show in the mornings. At Least they never had arguements, discussions and so on about babysitting, bad politics and how poorly management has treated them.

The Score itself is the reason people tune into the station, Mike has become the reason some now turn it off. Maybe some advertiser will leave because Mike will strong arm them to come with him to W _ _ _ or where ever he might go. I can assure you that if they dont come with, he will badmouth them on the air, without saying the names of the former advertisers.

The Morning Slot on a Sports Radio station is the key. Bernstein and someone else will get the spot and make it into what the Score wanted.

I will be honest, I tune into Mikes show for at least 1/ 2 hour to 45 minutes just to hear how bad it is and of course for any WYC material.

I heard the one guy that torched Pappy over the Sammy hustling thing on WYC. He was good. Even B&B were impressed.

When I hear those pappy craps and then not much from Dan and Terry, I just wonder what that realtionship is like between those 3. I cant imagine Dan and Terry having a ton of respect for North.

It was funny that mike is now taking content from other shows. His bit (mike's rants) is the only one on the score that is not driven by listener input. The "blue collar guy" has totally turned his back on the listeners. In the early days of "The New mike north morning show" he would say, "I took calls for 15 years I don't have to do that anymore" Huh? This is sports talk radio isn't it? Now the guy is relying on the callers from other shows to fill in segments on his? Someone needs to take creative control away from the guy and make him a co-host again where he can at least play the part that Jiggs let him play.
