There were people who actually thought that the hiring of Mike Quade as Manager of the Cubs was a good decision. Oops...

The new company line is the investment in the minor leagues!

Heard Fleita talk about the fact they just made an investment of closing on 55 acres of land in the Dominican! Unless that land is Oceanfront, thats about a $25,000 investment, WOW!

What more can be said about this shit team?
I would rather listen to Obama read from his teleprompter, than listen to Hendry say another word. That says a great deal about my dislike for Hendry.

I don't think so. The Sox are just good enough to get a middle of the road pick, and bad enough to not make the playoffs.

Better decision than Sandberg. The Cubs will have the guts to fire Quade, they wouldn't have the guts to fire Sandberg. And guess what, the Cubs would have the same exact record with either manager.

wrong as usual.... hendry should have been gone...sandberg or brenly in..meaning a new gm...so no wood or pena or auggie ojeda or doug davis, rodrigo lopez or koy hill or some of these other bust outs..new team..new direction under a competent manager and general manager.

Over Sandberg? Yes, but ultimately thought this team would be crap so it didn't matter which guy it was

I wanted Fredi Gonzalez

I was fine with Quade being named manager at the time. I said that whomever they name manager was not going to be the manager when this team is competitive again. Nothing Quade had done to that point made me think he would be the awful decision maker and clubhouse dicksucker that he has become.

I originally wanted Bob to get the job.

Sandberg. Wouldn't. Have. Done. Any. Better. With. This. Team.

How is that so hard to understand. Would you be happy to watch a former great Cub scream until he dropped and end up with the same record? At least they can fire Quade and Hendry and start over fresh next season.

huh??? should have already "started fresh" .... wasted an entire season and more money on trying to be semi competitive in a horseshit division to attract fans. it was dumb..it backfired...just admit it

Admit what? Hendry should have been fired years ago, no one is arguing that. His whole approach as a GM stinks. The fact is that he was not going anywhere this year so bringing in anyone else would have been stupid. If the same thing happens with Sandberg at the helm maybe the new GM wants to bring in his own guy and you have to fire the legend. Then numbnuts like you would be screaming that they fired Ryno.

The Astros just haven't yet figured out they're better than the Cub. I'm sure they'll realize it the next time they play them.

agree, I wouldnt want Ryno to be part of this mess...I can tell that Ryno wouldnt like working for Hendry anyway...it would have to be a totally different situation...I actually see Ryno and Ricketts getting along real good...but a bastard GM in the middle like Bully would mess it all up...wait till a new GM is hired
