Joe Buck is awesome. He does sound like he's broadcasting a war...and thats good. I have no idea why people say that he sounds like he'd be somewhere else. Dude is rich as fuck and works more games than any announcer anywhere. He clearly wants to be there.

Jose Bautista is not on roids or HGH in my opinion.

Can you imagine if, say, the Cubs or White Sox were able to develop bullpen arms like the Braves? Not only do they routinely trout out that "fuck you" combo of Venters and Kimbrel this season, but they were also able to deal another promising young high-K arm in Mike Dunn to the marlins for Dan Uggla... I'd bet you that within 1-2 seasons Dunn is closing in Miami.

Al Madrigal has a pretty good bit on the Daily Show re: Latinos protesting the All-Star game.

Not a big deal. I'm watching it so I'd like to see them do something. That's all.

Oh the new guy? I'm kind of on the fence on whether he's funny or not... He seems to have his schtick down, as he's copying Aasif Mandvi's voice and mannerisms, just with a flair that happens to be Latino.

I saw his first appearance and he had some sort of SNL-calibur repeated meme/schtick/joke/etc... I think it was regarding bad puns regarding latino people.... but like, this fence is hurting my ass... cuz when you're copying Aasif Mandvi, who has basically gone out and said that he initially started out trying to copy Colbert, you're entering dangerous copy of a copy of a copy territory.

In fairness tho, Aasif found his niche invoking some will ferrell into his persona, along with a lot of pompous shouting. I can't completely knock it because he's landed a big national Taco Bell TV advertising campaign thanks to the strength of his ability to shout into the camera.
