Nice high value player. Can't hit against lefties. Why, no team will put a lefty on the mound in an important situation.... right?

In a way, this is perplexing. If you throw him out there against righties and he can't hit them, but you put him out there somehow thinking he'll get it going (not looking likely at all is it?) why not also do so against lefties?

I mean, if a guy had his numbers against righties, you'd sit him against righties wouldn't you?

Also, we're what 100 games in? Is it time yet... he's not going to come around... in fact he's actually getting worse. Time to have him be your 10th or 11th batter?

Check it out. Tony from Matteson calling in to Ranger. Why can't we bench Dunn for like 10 days. Ranger is talking to his petulant son here. Let's see how this goes.

How DID it go?
Man seriously, you gotta cut bait at some point (referring to 2011 not the rest of the contract) and give most of his AB's elsewhere as he is seriously damaging this teams chances of taking the division.

This Roster With Dunn < This Roster Without Dunn

They have a legit shot at the division. Less so with Dunn.
Sorry if that's overly meatbally but I really don't think it is at this point.

Stake Peavy to a lead. This is a good sign, right?

Is Danny Duffy a clone of Cliff Lee?? Flipping back and forth between the two games is very weird.

And Ramirez gets helped out by the morons on the basepaths. With how long that rundown took, why the hell was Cabrera back on first? No wonder these guys are in last.

He is the new Gavin Floyd. Gets thru the order the first time or 2 around, then gets lit up.

A 4.5 ERA is nothing to write home about.

No it isn't but it's hardly getting lit up. It would win a lot of games if the offense could get their heads out of their ass.

An ace would protect a 2-0 lead.

Bad game. Not great pitching, not good offense.

Jeez. They score 2 runs in the first then get what 3-4 hits over the next 8 innings. I have no idea why the offense goes in the tank after the early innings every fucking game. They must think hell I got my hit for the night so now I'll just swing for the fucking fences for the rest of the game.

If only Dunn were in the lineup tonight.

Kenny's two, "must have players at any cost" are shitting the bed and showing what Kenny really is. That is a thin-skinned, ego-maniac that doesn't know how to truly evaluate talent. Dunn hits home runs (I guess only in the NL) but beyond that, offers nothing. Peavy WAS a Cy Young winner and now is a broken-down "grinder" that is just average at best.

If Kenny is buying this year, it's just him trying to save face and catch lightning in a bottle. KW is one of the major reasons this team sucks year in and year out.

Kenny Williams has the 5th HIGHEST PAYROLL in the Major Leagues.
His team sits below .500 in the idiotic A.L. Central Division on July 20th.
Kenny Williams can thank his lucky stars he works for Weird Jerry Reinsdorf.
Kenny gave his now ANNUAL quote to the media over the weekend about how the team has not earned the fans trust or loyalty.
The Kenny Williams Era has run its course.
Imagine the White Sox with the 5th highest payroll in the Bigs with a General Manger with some damned BRAINS!!!!!
Well, we can't have everything.

Great article from South Side Sox. Speculates that the very conservative White Sox might be reaching the point of being forced to do something.

That article is OK, but it suggests to send down Morel? 3rd base isn't really broke, so why fix it? Sure you'd like more pop out of that position, but the bottom line is that the Sox have struggled because of Dunn and Rios. If they were even doing just poorly (.230, 12-15 HRs, 40-50 RBI) instead of being awful all year, this team would be near or in first place.

Because Morel has options and its a move that is realistic. Personally I would like either JP or even better Vizquel moved or DFA'd but that is not going to happen. Its the easiest solution to the problem. Teahen has been providing replacement level play at third. Morel's options allow he to be sent to AAA with basically no consequences.

I think they would be well served by trying to find someone willing to take Lillibridge. Jordan Danks can fill his spot if needed next year. Lillibridge has done well this year, but the magic is gone. He is back to what he always has been (plus defender, not very good at the plate).

Dunn isn't going anywhere, they are going to keep putting him out there. I think he provides a little more value right now than Rios. De Aza is killing it in triple AAA and deserves a chance at CF.

Everyone wants to find someone to put the blame on, its natural to look for a scapegoat. However, its the players. Every Sox fan was very excited about this team and that excitement was totally justified. This team wide slump sucks. However, lots of players are starting to heat up now, so adding someone like Viciedo or De Aza could be the final link needed to make a run or at least start a damn streak.

If Kenny continues to stand pat and refuses to sack up, than it becomes a situation in which he should be criticized.

I'd suggest taking a look at that website. Lots of good thoughts.

Are you suggesting that the Sox should be buyers by 7/31?
I honestly don't see it happening.
