Let's not and say we did. If Phil Humber doesn't pitch today, he's definitely in line to start one of the weekend games vs. the Red Sox lefty duo of Jon Lester Saturday night or Andrew Miller Sunday afternoon.

Humber has to go back to the rotation. Who knows when he will be pitching next, especially with a possible Floyd deal.

They now have a 5 man rotation (for now, pending any starters being traded) of Buerhle, Danks, Floyd, Peavy and Humber (in an order probably different than this). Stewart gives them a starter in the minors who's probably about ready for a shot in the majors, and Sale could be headed that way next season depending on the direction of the team.

Does Sale have what it takes to take over for Matt Thorton? Would the Sox be willing to part with Matt and keep Sale as a lefty reliever? I don't know yet if I want Sale in the rotation unless one of the starters gets traded/injured.

I think the White Sox would have to stretch out Chris Sale's arm to become a starting pitcher, Country. That probably won't happen until they go back to work in Spring Training next February and March. I have heard Sale and starting rotation in the same sentence, but for the time being, forget it.
