I like my opinion better. He would be the best WR in the division. Take it to the bank. He's a younger Larry Fitzgerald. Ask Favre who he missed the most last season.

Just cause he has dreads doesn't make him Larry Fitzgerald. Rice has trouble staying healthy. I wouldn't mind him on the Bears but I think it's gonna be Roy Williams.

Hank he had a monster year including a dominant playoff performance. Yes, he's been hampered by injuries but when he's been healthy he's been a top reciever in the league.

And he's 6"4

I'm afraid this may eliminate him from consideration. Drake seems to really want to develop a star (not one on the roster) and Martz doesn't seem to like tall receivers. Only guy on the roster that wants a big target is Cutler and no one is listening to him. Every great QB not named Brady needs at least 1 great WR to really be great.

He's had 2 knee injuries and a hip injury in 4 years. Pass.
Lots of guys can put together 1 good season. Same with 1 dominant playoff performance, that is a meaningless thing. He was shut down the next game and sustained another injury.

Dont go just off the wikipedia Hank.

And I disagree that anybody can put together one good season.

90% of the recievers in the league will never go 1300yds plus.

Im not saying he's perfect, but he's a great gamble IMO

Rice would be great - he's only 24/25 years old. They could actually have a talented guy in his prime at WR.

But I think it will be Williams.

Martz and Lovie are infatuated with guys that used to play for them. Even so, there's a dozen guys out there, minimum, that would be an upgrade over their current position.

He had 4 catches for 43 yds and a touchdown while being double teamed.

I've been high on Rice (and life) since he got in the league. He's not just a guy. Whenever you watch him play he sticks out. He makes a play that makes you scream (or say) OMG. It's not everyday you can get a guy like that for pennies on the dollar. The Bears haven't had a WR that was anywhere as talented as him since Marcus Robinson. It would also hurt the Vikings too. With the team the Bears have now there is a great possibility that they could be the worst team in the division if they don't upgrade their offense.

Posted a new thread but the Bears are looking at Mike Sims-Walker from Jax. That might be your WR signing.

Before he played a game for the Bears. It looked like I was right until Martz decided he didn't like him. Martz sucks at evaluating talent.

I think I have them at 10-6. Which really means I think they could be 8-8

That isnt a line that screams pro-bowler. He seems to be good but not great.

You can only catch the balls that are thrown your way. My dream just died anyway.

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a five-year, $41 million contract with wide receiver Sidney Rice, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Rice's deal contains $18.5 million guaranteed, the source said.

Overpaid. Guess they couldn't resist reuniting him with Tavaris Jackson

I don't think that's overpaying. An average of $8M a year. In a couple years he will be looking for more money. It's a steal. Of course he needs a better QB to throw him the ball. All the people that have negative opinions about Rice there is absolutely no way you've seen him play before. I don't want to get on my FF horse but that is really the only way these comments can really make sense.

You're talking about Jerry Rice, right? Has he come out of retirement? Because I know that you cant be talking about Sidney Rice, right?

The Bears should fire Mike Martz since they aren't even running his offense anymore, & sign Plax & Sims-Walker.

The Bears have given Drew Rosenhaus the go ahead to talk to teams about trading for G.Reg  You can't just go and trade away Jay's tag team partner like that.

Jennings and C Johnson are MILES apart from Sidney Rice. He had a good year. Easy on the Larry Fitzgerald talk. Like someone already said, they both have dreads and thats where that comparrison should end. Rice will go on to do nothing in Seattle.

Bears agreed to terms with P Adam Podlesh on a five-year contract.
Re-signing Podlesh was one of the Jaguars' top priorities in free agency, but they lost him when Chicago's offer was "significantly" higher. One of the top young punters in football, the 28-year-old has legit 4.4 speed that could come in handy for fakes, and he finished top-five in the NFL in net average last season. With the Bears, Podlesh should be a big upgrade on Brad Maynard. Jul 28, 9:02 AM
