I believe he is less accurate. What is interesting is he is such a fixture and WGN builds so much of their news around him he almost has to make the weather seem bigger than it really is. Kind of an interesting situation for him to be in.

How big of a profile does Tom Skilling have at WGN? They've done countless news promos for Skilling, even before Channel 9's local affiliation with the CW Network. He's also on 720 WGN, CLTV, plus his big, bald head is prominently featured on the Trib's Weather page. Yeah, "Tom'll Tell Ya..."

It really is crazy. Aren't the TV guys basically just embellishing the NOAA forecasts anyway?

That reminds me, was I the only one who got pissed a decade or so ago when NOAA replaced the actual humans with computerized voices on the Weather Radio?
