What are they doing? There is no plan here. They have no players they have drafted. Nobody wanted to coach here. Some schmuck took 3M less to stay with his team and Forte is going to hold out? The keep signing people that won't make the practice squad and a freaking punter. You've got to be shitting me!

Much like the Cub, the Bear franchise is also a sad joke.

Now I'm insulted and depressed too. I hope it's not as bad as all that.

I thought Forte said he wants a new deal but will not hold out?

The team is run by a bunch of drooling idiots. Did you expect anything different?

Spaulding I believe you're overreacting. Of course I would like to see the Bears make a splash but let's give them more time to see what would happen. Hell last year Olsen was only worth a 5th round pick. They got a 3rd round pick and another player. There are a lot of guys still out there.

HOVA, we must judge the Bears right damn now. I mean it is the end of July, camp has not even started yet, but dammit we must have a judgement right now.

This whole offseason is an anomaly. I am going to wait a few days to let things shake out before I get all worked up. Besides, I am too busy being pissed about the Cub to worry about the Bear right now. Their time will come.
No one knows who is going to be good and who is going to be bad right now. Although, I am fairly certain the Bear is gonna suck.

I think the scientific term is tipsy.

Tell you what though, the last few years I've developed an apathy for this team. There have been some Sundays that I find something else to do. That's bad. They continue to make poor decisions and fuck up.

Much like Hendry is the one constant in the Cub suckage of the last decade, Angelo and Lovie are right on his heels. I feel your pain. My expectations of this team are very low.

Am I missing something or didn't the Bears play in the NFC title game last year and have a season that was a surprise to practically everyone else but me?

If I'm not mistaken, the cap is in effect- and after a season with no cap, some owners are still going to pay ridiculous amounts for average players. The Bear may be looking at trying to scoop up some bargains after the initial drunken frenzy, unfortunately many of these players will hardly be difference makers. It's not looking real great so far, but we have no idea who is being targeted yet. As several posters have said, let's just wait and see how this crazy offseason develops...

Big deal, you always have pie-in-the-sky expectations, so you don't really count.

Last year was crazy. There were lotsa times they did not look good and I still don't talk about the NFC game. This team has issues and they haven't been addressed.

I can see that but historically this management has been bad. They spent too much on the first day last year, maybe they are scared, learned, or have no idea what they are doing.

That's kind of proving my point...our best move is a punter.

Big deal, you always have pie-in-the-sky expectations, so you don't really count.

In fairness to me I laid out position by position what I expected and then I went game by game and said why I thought the Bears would have success. I was virtually right on each point. You may have missed me bumping the threads and patting myself on the back when I returned to the board.

How will Jay feel about losing both of his lovers in the same week. Has to be very depressing.

They traded Olsen because he was a distraction obviously.

More than likely, yes, I did ignore it.
