Roy Williams being the Bears best receiver isnt saying much.

Sims-Walker being the best receiver on Jacksonville wasn't saying much either.

S-W is an good player but not much different than Williams, IMO. I'll take Williams, maybe he'll be trying to prove something and should know the offense.

Sims-Walker being the Jaguars best reciever isn't saying much.

They also have Mike Thomas who would be the number one on the Bears and a pro bowler in Marcedes Lewis. All better then the what the Bears had.

Again try and stretch what Im saying if you want. I never said that. Im saying Walker is better then Williams. Period. Also Thomas and Lewis are better players than what the Bears had last year or will have this year.

So you're saying the Bears should have gave Walker Peppers money, got it.

Cool story. Hey you remember when the Bears were in the playoffs last year and the Jags weren't? Yeah that was awesome.

So you're saying you love me and that Sims-Walker is the best WR in the NFL right now?

I see IB is in his smarmy midseason form...The price tag along with peppers reputation made me nervous. My fear was once he got paid his production would go down on a team that was fairly strong on defense. If you had a capable DE they'd have been fine and they could have then spent the money on an OL or even WR (but did not want WR at the time). I don't think I ever said Atogwe was a better player but would have prefered an OL. I didn't think Peppers would be worth it, still not sure he is. I don't remember if I said I hated the signing, don't think I did but could have, I don't now but that is the benefit of hindsight. I quickly got on board once they signed him and said hope it works.

http://www.footballsfuture.com/2011/fa/wr.html

There is your FA WRs. I wanted Rice or Floyd. I don't want Edwards, Holmes, Burress or Moss. I don't want an old guy and I don't want a guy with huge attitude problems. Sims-Walker fits that. Williams has some upside but there are some things that are a concern. I didn't really want him but now that he is ours I, again, am on board and hope it works.

That's one of the reasons Jacksonville didn't want to resign Sims-Walker.

Everyone said they hoped it would work, but most people here were very skeptical. I'll bump the thread in a minute.

Really...Really. Maybe I would rather have Plexico over Williams because he is such a dbag on the field/off the field also. Also keep Williams and his learning curve. He is a guy that SHOULD have flurished with a team like Dallas but all he did was suck monkey balls and talk alot of trash. He has 60 catches with a pass happy team with Dallas. How the hell do you think he is going to do here?

If you really don't think Sims Walker is better then Williams please remove yourself from this thread. Please

You might consider cutting back on the douche level there, Hub .... I'm just slightly disinclined to defer to your wisdom solely because you had a guy on your fantasy team. You can take that sentiment, shine it up real nice, etc.

How about the fact that I have watched enough Jags games over the last 2 years. Fantasy football or not or not its not difficult to see shitty players from a different town.

Who will Williams replace? With Manning now gone, I wonder if the Bear might end the Devin Hester WR experiment & put D-Hes back at punt & kick return?

Where am I whining? You are free to have that perception and I think others share it at times but even you can be wrong.

Have not seen the huge attitude stuff on walker...if it's there I'd like to see it, it could change my mind.

I can't remember who was out there but, it's possible I would rather have had an OL or 2 over peppers. Don't know about WR could have helped last year though.

Pretty expensive kick returner.

At this point that clearly appears to be the plan.

Earl Bennett is a better slot reciever than Hester anyhow. As long as Williams isn't a total bust that allows Knox and Bennett to slide into their more natural reciever spots.

I didn't want the Bears to spend all of their money on 1 player. I felt they could get 2 good/great players for the same money. Peppers was difference maker (even if the stats don't say it) last year but I don't think that means the money was well spent. Kyle Vanden Bosch was equally as good for a lot less money. Of course I would prefer to have Peppers over him.

There's time to kill. People are still getting dressed. It's not like I'm sitting around the funeral home arguing about the dangerously explosive Jacksonville offense.
