Is he also not worth something as far as locker room leadership? Doesn't he kinda run shit in there?

I tend to agree. Roberto Garza, I believe, would be the in-house favorite if the Bears let Olin Kreutz walk. Trouble is, I'm not so sure his knees will hold up much longer after years at right guard.

For the longest time, the Bears boasted that Josh Beekman (remember him?) was the heir apparent to Kreutz. Last year, he was cut and I don't think Beekman resurfaced anywhere else.

He Broke Fred Miller's jaw.
That's worth a contract extension to me.

Screw Kruetz. The OL hasn't opened a running lane in 4 seasons. If he is the captain, he is the captain of shit.

Jay Cutler would agree with that OLine assessment.

 He's the clear leader of the offense. The guys respect him. That gets overlooked a lot. In many ways he's a coach on the field.

They made chicken salad last season. There is only so much you can do when you don't have the talent on the roster.

Again, if he is the leader, he is the leader of shit. I don't know how many times I have to watch the OL part like the Red Sea for the defensive, not be able to convert a 3rd and short, ect. He may be intense, but it doesn't get results from the player's on the field. He used to be good, but now he is just old and overrated.

Olin Kreutz's best days are clearly in the scrapbook, but he's still a very capable center in the NFL. Since it doesn't appear as if the Bears are going to be much of a player in free agency, they can't afford to let #57 go.

Anthony Adams re-signed, and Roach is apparently signing at 4pm.

that sounds like a hub arkush line, and most of the time i think hub is wrong..the o - line sucked last year..if he was the glue to a shitty line.. so what if he leaves... i saw kreutz gettin beat one on one by his man..he was not handling his man and releasing early to help another scrub..they all sucked last year..kreutz is washed up..if the bears want to win a super bowl they better start to pay players for what they are going to do and not pay them for what they have done in the past.

Bears are supposedly targeting former number 6 overall pick Vernon Gholston. I guess he is a bust. Anybody have a scouting report?

Well that would certainly be another Bear-like signing. Good lord.

Looks like they did end up signing him, no terms disclosed yet.

I like it. The Bears gave Olin a one-year, four million final offer. Supposedly. We'll see where that goes.

It sounds like Olin is going to SF. Apparently they offered him more that 1 year.

The Bears only want reclamation projects. See Vernon Gholston and Amobi Okoye.

Rumors abound about Lofa Tatupu.

Coming off knee surgeries, can't run, playing on Soldier Field grass. Sign me up!

Okoye started 58 games for the Texans over four seasons, posting 138 tackles and 11 sacks. Okoye contributed a career-high 44 tackles in 2010, in addition to three sacks.

Not exactly a reclamation project. A 23 year old coming of his most productive season who has started 90% of the games since he's been in the league

He's widely regarded as a draft bust or at least a big time draft disappointment. That would be the reason he was cut. So, yes, he is a reclamation project. The only positive is that he is still really young since he was drafted at 19.

A reclamation project usually involves a guy thats almost out of the league or at his lowest. Last year he was decent, in fact it was his best year. You threw him in with Ghoulston who clearly IS a reclamation project. It doesnt fit. You were wrong, its ok.

And thanks for repeating the point I made about his age.
