Alright, this team is done. This offense is a broken, and there's really nothing that can be done (this year) to improve it. Walker needs to be shitcanned in the offseason, and the entire lineup needs an overhaul. Obviously nobody is going to take Dunn or Rios, these guys are the anchor that has sunk the ship. Unfortunately, get used to seeing them around next year.

When the sky opened up when the Yankees took a 6-0 lead after 6 1/2 innings last night, I felt on both Facebook and Twitter that it was the only thing that could slow down the Yankee offense. Had that game continued following a 57 minute rain delay, I bet the Yankees would have put at least 2, maybe 3 more runs on the board.

Ozzie shook up his lineup last night alright, putting "Old Man" Omar Vizquel at third in place of Brent Morel, Carlos Quentin DH-ing again, Adam Dunn at first base, plus Alex Rios in center and Alejandro De Aza in right field. All of that with Paul Konerko sidelined, and the lethargic White Sox offense made Phil Hughes and his 8.24 ERA going in looking like Cy Young! Only 3 stinkin' hits last night in the rain-shortened 6 1/2 inning 6-0 Yankee winner! :x

Have no fear, White Sox fans. Tonight is a guaranteed winner for the home club.

I will be in misery the whole game. Normally, I do not even watch the games in which A.J. Burnett is pitching. I just change the channel. However, I cannot let my son down by not going tonight.

Pray for me.

Rios was a mistake, but his train wreck season is not Kenny's fault. He has been a lot more productive in year's past. Rios hit .284 last year with 21 HR's and 34 SB's. He's at .206. How is that Kenny's fault?

.

At the time of the acquistion Rios has dropped 2 full wins in WAR in two straight seasons.....thats why he was put on waivers and let go by the Jays.

Of course its Kenny's fault. He bought that stock on the way down.

The Jenny Jones-looking Kerry Sayers just reported that Burnett has yet to win a game in August. Much like Phil Hughes and tomorrow night's Yankees' starter Ivan Nova, Yankee fans are very uneasy whenever Burnett and his big contract toes the rubber.

In all seriousness, in case you haven't been paying attention, the Sox excel at making bad pitchers look like the second coming of Whitey Ford. Burnett will probably win tonight, and only give up 2 hits.

In other breaking news, Kerry Sayers is reporting that The Glorious New York Yankees have thus far been held hitless in the 2011 Playoffs.

So Kerry Sayers is reporting that, in twelve (12) major league seasons, A.J. Burnett has never won an August start?

I will research this and get back to you.

I can't wait to see what Ozzie's makeshift lineup, likely once again tonight without Paul Konerko, looks like vs. A.J. Burnett...

If I had to guess:

Pierre LF
Vizquel 3B
Quentin DH
Dunn 1B
AJ C
Alexi SS
Rios CF
De Aza RF
Beckham 2B

Hold on there, Jackson. It would appear that the problem is not Kerry Sayers. Rather, the problem was shockingly sloppy reporting by Shark!. Kerry Sayers seemingly reported that A.J. Burnett has never won an August start while with The Glorious New York Yankees. Not lifetime.

I am very disappointed in you, Shark!. This is John "The Otter" Forsythe-like sloppiness.

Let's see if you are right, SJ. The bottom of that lineup should start, not finish with the Jason Hervey-looking Beckham batting 7th with Alejandro De Aza batting 9th.

I will let this one slide, Shark!, but you need to be aware that misinformation like this is what caused the Franco-Prussian War.

The lineup is in for the third of four with the Yankees this eve, and folks, it can't get much worse than the following vs. Yankee righty A.J. Burnett:

1 Juan "1 of the 3 Hits Last Night" Pierre LF
11 Omar "Relax! Beckham's Getting the Night Off" Vizquel 2B
20 Carlos "No Konerko Again! Damn It!" Quentin DH
32 Adam "138 Strikeouts and Counting" Dunn 1B
10 Alexei "Batting 5th...Still Can't Drive Anyone In" Ramirez SS
12 A.J. "Gavin's Kinda Wild" Pierzynski C
51 Alex "Still Playing...Thanks Paulie!" Rios CF
30 Alejandro "Damn It! I Can't Hit Either!" De Aza RF
22 Brent "Lucky to be Starting vs. a Righty for a Change" Morel 3B

Gavin "Lucky I'm Still Here" Floyd starts for the slumping White Sox on the Southside.

Hawkaroo sounds a little crocked. I wonder if he tipped a few with damare before the ceremony. Steve is wearing a pretty blue polo with a lovely left handed ring that just screams "Heeeey!".

Oh man, Hawk is showing serious signs of having a bad night.
I think he's a bit crocked, and he just called the Yankees "Not the Bronx Bombers! The Bronx Bunters!"
Pretty good stuff.
Anyway hawk is gonna have a kitten tonight, you wait and see.

FUCKING RIOS.
Just allowed two runners to advance on a bases loaded sac fly. Threw OVER the cutoff man to 3rd. Now that's after getting such a shit break on a blooper to short center that he couldn't get to an easy popup. Bad. Bad.
And now a three run homer by Cano.
Yeah, gonna be some great Hawk tonight.

Something has got to be done about Rios.
He's not really even playing the game. I don't know what he's doing.
I think a good manager tells him to hit the shower after that first inning... no shit man, enough.
