I have just returned to my home after one of the most miserable baseball nights of my life. About the only good thing that came out of this game was that A.J. Burnett did not qualify for the win, because he could not get through five (5) innings with a twelve (12) run lead! This miserable piece of garbage, this horrible, disgusting afterbirth of a jackel, this sub-human mental midget. HEY SATAN ELF, HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR NUMBER TWO (2) STARTER NOW, YOU RAT BASTARD?!? Let me ask you, Satan Elf, do you even watch the games? I know I do. When Adam "The Oaf" got a rare hit off of A.J. Burnett, I screamed: "You just let up a hit to Adam Dunn, you rat!" This got great laughs from the people around me. Alas, things turned rather ugly shortly thereafter.

Just before A.J. Burnett was pulled from the game, I nearly got ejected from the stadium for screaming "YOU ARE A THIEF AND A RAT! YOU ARE A BUM!" This was screamed over and over again until the usher said I would need to tone it down or I would have to leave. I used no profanity, and apparently did not realize that heckling your own team is prohibited. I would have thought that the usher would have encouraged me to heckle the opposing team. Oh well, live and learn, that is what I frequently say.

One of the idiots around me said: "What are you so worried about, it is 13 to 6?" I sneered at him and asked him if he knew anything about baseball. You would have had no problem sensing the sarcasm and disgust in my voice at his foolish question. There were no fisticuffs, however. I think the people around me were a little frightened of me, although I was obviously in no mood to start any funny business.

Update on the scoreboard fan "Noise-O-Meter" - still intact and not exploded.

Update on the number of people from the Chicago Sports Fan Message Board taking advantage of my offer to buy them a drink - zero (0).

Apologies stoneroses.

After the last two (2) games I decided to let my brother attend the game with my tickets. I figured a better use of my time would be to stay home and teach my fourteen (14) month old son the intricacies of the figure four (4) leg lock.

It's up to Philip Humber in hopes of stopping the bleeding tonight vs. Ivan Nova. I've got to think Gordon Beckham returns to second base tonight after a night off while Omar Vizquel supplants Brent Morel at third with the right-hander Nova starting for the Yanks for starters. Until further notice, third base is a platoon unless the White Sox do the right thing and send Vizquel to a contender with World Series aspirations.

Also, here's hoping we see the return of Paul Konerko, not only at first base for the big lug that is Adam Dunn defensively, but at the plate, too. Last but not least, after another defensive blunder in center field, might Alex Rios be glued to Ozzie's bench? At this point, I'm not sure any of it matters.

You could be a Hollywood screenwriter, and you could not make this script up. It is like Groundhog Day, except every time A.J. Burnett pitches, I have to listen to, and read, the exact same nonsense!

Just save these August 3, 2011 quotations and roll them out after the next start by this Satan Bastard A.J. Burnett:

A.J. "The Bastard" Burnett - "I need to be better. I'm going to be better." Or: "It's frustrating. But I'm not gonna beat myself up over it."

Joe Girardi - "His numbers aren't that bad. If you look at the whole year, A.J.'s been decent for us. I think he's been a much better pitcher for us this year." His numbers aren't that bad!?! Are you clinically insane? HE COULD NOT EVEN BE TRUSTED WITH A TWELVE (12) RUN LEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will not have my intelligence insulted any longer! Am I dreaming, or are these actual quotations made by a ballplayer and a manager in the New York market!?! How can they get away with this?

These are the kind of inane comments made by a manager of a Triple A ball club, and the local hillbillies all nod their heads in agreement, while drool slips down their unsightly faces onto the floor.

I am so miserable. I love peace as much as anybody, but I would definitely like to punch A.J. Burnett right in the face.

That's one of the lost storylines in the 18-7 Yankee beatdown last night. A.J. Burnett had a lot of run support, but didn't go the minimum 5 innings to qualify for the win. Yankee fans in the Bronx are as nervous when Burnett pitches as they are when Gavin Floyd usually pitches for the White Sox.

Lost story line? What the hell are you talking about? It is the only story line! Did you not read what I just wrote!?!

The main storyline was the Yankees putting 18 runs, 23 hits on the board, highlighted by Robinson Cano "don't ya know", as Yankee radio voice John Sterling would say, and Eric Chavez taking Floyd deep...

Hey. I understand you are in pain good sir. But the cheap shots at our local ball club on the North side are not necessary.

carry on. Nothing like a good stoneroses rant.

Yippee! They won a game. IRRELEVANT!

A.J. Burnett is the number two (2) starter! How are they going to win a Playoff Series if Joe Girardi does not change that! Main story line - PRINT IT!

Right now, StoneRoses, A.J. Burnett appears to be a distant second in the Yankee rotation behind C.C. Sabathia. Tonight's starter Ivan Nova is in the same situation Phil Hughes was in 2 nights ago for the Yankees. Nova's own spot in the rotation is very much in jeopardy. Then again, these White Sox also had trouble with Nova a year ago when the Southsiders faced him for the first time.

I see that nobody has an answer to my rhetorical question. Probably because a rhetorical question does not require one.

In any case, let me answer my own question - the answer is that this club will not win a Playoff Series unless there are changes in the rotation.

I agree with Frank Costanza. Unless Joe Girardi gets the guts to change up the rotation, I do not see that it matters, because the Wild Card "Champions" would not play the A.L. Central winner. At least how it stands currently.

These are dire times for The Glorious New York Yankees. Everybody is so afraid to hurt A.J. Burnett's feelings by getting him out of the rotation. It reminds me of how frustrated I get when I watch Hoarders. There will be a woman who is reduced to a meltdown when the counseler suggests they throw out some old cereal boxes or empty soda cans. Instead of yelling and screaming at the mentally ill lady, they coddle her and try to reason with her. "Oh, I know this is a very special cereal box, but can you at least think about throwing it away, and then maybe you can get a brand new cereal box, and make wonderful new memories with that one!"

It makes me sick. I would treat A.J. Burnett and that hoarder the exact same way. BOOM! You are cut! BOOM! These cereal boxes are going into the trash!

If it makes you feel any better, I dislike you as much as probably anybody that I can think of on The Chicago Sports Fan Message Board.

So if you do not want to read what I write, and if you do not want to discuss this series, why don't you do yourself a favor and not click on the thread.

Like usual, you're not really discussing a damn thing about this series either. So why do you click here?

Regardless of opponent or time of year, you essentially repeat yourself about loving Mantle or Jeter, or hating Cashman and Burnett. We get it - that's your act (throw in some bold/underlined font, repetitive numbering, etc). So why keep posting? Why keep watching the Burnett games? Why come here? Who is holding the gun to your head?

Forgive me if I don't buy into your schtick as some others do. It's dull, and as I said before - highly repetitive, and lacks any actual sports insight at all. Ever. It's more like a bad SNL skit on repeat. Sorta like the "Superfans" used to be. (YAY!!! I use the middle names of my favorite players! Every single time!).

Really? I didn't know there were any of those.

Where are the board's "you don't post like you would in real life" police for him? You know, the same one's that are all over IMU for that sorta thing? Cause there is no way he is actually like his "character".
