He seems like a willing party.

Are you close to getting on air chances at the Score?

Do you get pissed that Murph treats you like his bitch on the air? Sometimes he puts you on the spot and rips you. You seem to get flustered and nervous of his potential rath at times. LOL.

Fine, I've got a few:

1) Why does Murph feel the need to talk over every guest he has on the air?

2) How exactly does one talk to someone else "face to face over the phone"?

3) How much is Murph talked about behind his back by coworkers?

Maybe he'll be drinking as he reads this. Then his true feelings might come out. You never know Nas.

Could be true Bear. I know if I had to work with Murph everyday, I'd head straight to the tavern after my shift and non-stop drink until it was time to go back into work the next day.

Well, this isnt going to be popular, but if Cy did come out and say something while he worked for Murph, I would have a ton of respect for him, unlike Matt who waited till he was gone from Muprhs show, then started yapping.

Matt is going to be big in this business, but his work ethic when producing murphs show should have got him fired.

The radio world can use a few more B&B knockoffs, I guess.

1. Murph doesnt even realize it. The guy is ok to deal with, he needs to cut back on the coffee.

2. ? Murph thought process is hard to figure out sometimes, but I can tell you he is the least to blame in that battle.

3. Besides Terry, Dan, Matt and Jason, I didnt hear a bad thing about him from anyone who works there. Mully wanted to fit in with B/B, so that is why he took Murph on. I have said it before and got slammed for it, but Boers is the pussy here, I will just leave it at that.

Someone should tell him to stop hiding it, then. I think he's pretty good, but his approach is derivative and his personality is limited. Despite logging a lot of on-air time, he hasn't improved much as a host over the past six months. It looks like he may have reached his ceiling already.

Matt is being held back for a few reasons, but if the Rosen had his way, he would have been teamed with North a few months ago, but of course Mikey didnt want that, so there he sits having to do fill in and weekend shows.

I liked the drinky-North combination. That was good radio. They brought out the best in one another. His pairing with Goff, however, has gotten stale. The two seem to bring out the worst in one another, thus explaining why "The Last Call" frequently regresses into a second grade mentality gigglefest.

This "ask cy" thread has turned into a Drinky thread. Oh well.

I don't see how Drinky has been held back. He's given on air opportunities and he's allowed to be a host. What more can you ask for?

He talks too fast and sometimes slurs his words.

He has points but can't express them very well and sometimes contradicts him self.

He can be funny but looks to force humor too much.

Like it or not, Matt will have a full time show soon then later, hopefully without Jason. Jason has nothing to offer as a on air host, nothing.

Most likely he will. I just hope he gets better. I think Larry is first in line of the back ups for a regualr day part gig. I don't agree but he's first off the bench to sub and he gets the most night shows when air time is available.

If you call Laurence "Larry" again, he will track you down and rough you up.

I actually don't doubt that. Larry has admitted he has been quick to throw a punch in his past. He's one of those "tough guys".

Well if North really is going to be replaced by mid-May, I would think Holmes, Abbatacola, Zaidman or Paruch will be part of the new configuration. I really hope Dahl does not surface at the Score. He hasn't been relevant in at least fifteen years. I would be interested in a Garry Meier return to radio, though.

Dahl wont be there, just a opinion, but from what I understand, Dahl hates most of the guys over there. Matt and Paruch would be the top two choices, Laurnce wont EVER get a full time gig, he just cant do 20 hours of radio, he just cant and hase been as close to being launched a few times.

XSG I'm with you on Paruch. IMO he should be on the top of the list right now even above Drinky when it comes to getting a new prime time show. He'd actually be a good listen in the mornings.

Paruch really knew his stuff. I was surprised at how well I enjoyed him on the B&B show.

My prediction: Lance Briggs and Paruch hosting the Morning Show with Annie .

There is not a single one of the backups who are ready to headline a drive time show. Losing North only weakens the station. I'm a big fan of drinky, paruch and to a lesser extent, goff but all three need some seasoning.

GD, I will ask you here, becasue in the MNMS area, its going nuts, but how do you think it weakens the station if North leaves? The show in its current format cant beat Mike and Mike. If you are talking spnsership money, I see your point.

I don't think drinky or Goff will ever be capable of being a "lead" host on a drive-time show. Both lack the creativity, originality, humor and curiosity necessary to be successful in such a role. Either one could possibly succeed if partnered with someone of more significant stature. A combination of drinky and Boers in the afternoon drive could conceivably be a much better show than B&B. Meanwhile, moving Bernstein to the mornings and pairing him with someone capable of keeping him motivated and engaged would be interesting as well.
