I was told by a score employee that north will be off the air by mid may. North and the big shots are talking buyout this week.

We're holding you to this, fella. If I'm still listening to that Roman triumvirate of suck by Memorial Day, we amputate your big toe.

Bad move. The SCORE will be reduced to one identifiable show.

True, but since that show is five minutes of Blackhawks pre-game, the Score has little to be concerned about.

Surely you must be talking about montana, because Iowa is one hopping place...

Just so I cover myself here, North wants to be bought out, but if the big boys in CBS Land dont want to pay up what North wants, he will honor the rest of his contract. What I was told was that they both seem to want out and will work towards a buyout, which would come around mid-may.

I take a lot of heat here, so I just wanted to be clear...thanks.

It makes sense. They can buy out Pappy for half of what's left on his deal. Pay the new guys next to nothing. They'll be happy to take it for a year try out chance. That way the Score saves money and can be done with the idiot.

Well I hope Holmes and/or ZZ aren't left to fill the void. That would be worse. And from what I've heard, Paruch and drinky have no chemistry together.

To me, Bernsie teamed with someone like Gary Meier might be best for the morning. Put Paruch or drinky together with Boers.

Mike can sue me, I would love to see him again, he always made me feel smarter after speaking with him.

Saying Pappy and the Score want a "buy out" isn't slander. It's speculation and XscoreGuy has a source. Newspapers do this all of the time.

So close is this to being true---

"I think there is very little doubt that CBS is trying to can the shitfest. Why else would the jagoff need a lawyer.? CBS can take him off the air and pay the rest of the contract (and in doing that keep him from working anywhere else until the contract ends), this wouldn't be good for his career. Or they can try to buyout the rest of the deal freeing him up to go somewhere else, this buyout would be for a reduced amount of what is left on the poor deal. This would require a good lawyer for him to get the most out of it.

I wonder if Jigles could get her old job back at Gibson's. Can't imagine any station desperate enough to hire her.
Annie, back to nursing the kid full time.
Fred, Murph really could use your help.

I agree with CBS, time to get the shitfest off the air. Little wonder they won't give them any money to go out of town, they wasted enough already."

So, how is this going to happen exactly ? Is North going to take a buyout of his $1 million + contract to go away when he can stay and get it all ?

If he doesn't take a buyout, they can take him off the air and pay him the rest of the deal, but they can prevent him from working in local radio while he gets those checks. Can't imagine he will be a "hot" property after 18 months off the air.

If what XScoreGuy says is even close to being true, the reason Mikey might prefer a buyout is because it saves him face. It would be far better for North to blab to the press that he wanted the buyout and a change of scenery vs. working 'til the end of his contract, and being embarrassed by not being renewed.

Yes, we here know he truth, but a lot of "regular folk" don't and only get their inside stuff from Feder, etc.

Nas, when this happens, I would hope you are willing to say I was right. I know I dont have 1,000,000 posts here like you, but I know anything I hear from the people at WSCR, were I use to work, is very reliable info. I dont care if you believe it, but I am willing to wait it out and be proven right.

Nas, I see your point and you have a right to be a fan of his, I am just sharing this info, I am not asking people to believe it. I also think if you knew how the guy has totally crapped on people at the station, you would rethink your loyality to the guy.
