It's been the umps, the lack of fans, the twinkie dome, Ozzie ball, injuries, just one bad year and now it's the fans????

I don't know how long this new "EXCUSE" has been on table of not being able to play at home because their is too much pressure, but it is one of the weakstick excuses of all time I have ever heard in sports! and when did this start? 5 years ago? And since when did 22,000 at the cell start creating so much pressure?

Shocked Ozzie even let this crap become a story, just not like him to let a writer put this out there before he dropped 10 F's bombs on the concept making sure it is not repeated.

I said it in the series thread.

It's absolutely mind boggling how this team can consistently shit the bed at home.

Get your ass to a hotel and nail a hosebag or twelve.

Do something.

Maybe they need to import the road tail they're getting. Ship the wives out to other cities.

This team is honestly far more infuriating than the shitty 07 team was...at least that team sucked and everyone knew it.

While most players will play until they can't, they just like going to spring training, getting pussy, being away from the wife for a time, etc. Big Z isn't like that. This guy loves being at home, he loves being the king of the castle on a daily basis and I am not joking about it. He has people over everyday that he and his wife help out or just have over for lunch.

But lets not digress from the issue or the EXCUSE of the Sox not being able to play at home?

The team designed to hit HR's int he most HR friendly park int he Majors the last 10 years, without any fans actually there to provide said pressure?

Bigfan Waht are you talking about ... A team designed to hit HR's in the most HR friendly park int he Majors???

Don't you remember Kenny Williams after the '05 win stating over and over and over..."This team is built on pitching, speed and defense" that is the ONLY way Kenny knows how to win..look over the years and you will see nothing but PITCHING SPEED and DEFENSE....

or did I miss something?

Yes yes yes, I forgot, as I sit outside Zambranos house I watch Sox games on my phone, while listening to some of =the best play by play ever!

And I am aware of Kenny's plan, which was exactly Jerry Manuel's plan too, before it was Kenny's, but they fired Jerry for that plan, but when it worked it became Kennys plan. lol

Of course the attitude of the fans and the negativity is going to have an impact on the players, some more than others. They are actual human beings. I know they are making lots and lots of money, but this does not change the fact that they have real human emotions. I haven't seen the team ever use it as an excuse, not once. Acknowledging that it is not a very friendly place is not an excuse but Of course its going to have an impact. With Dunn you take into account that he is playing in a high pressure place for the first time, in a new league and that he has never really failed before. All of that is going to impact him, even though he has a big contract.

The White Sox are always going to be a homerun dependent team. Its stupid not to be considering the park they play in. A combination of homer runs plus solid pitching makes them very dangerous. As for them not playing "the game right", its not the White Sox its just todays MLB. If you can hit the ball real hard and send it a long way than you are going to stay in the MLB, no matter how bad you are at "fundamentals"

Call me crazy, but for all the claims that "Sox fans care more about the Cubs" I see far more Cubs fans posting on White Sox blogs and in forum sections than the reverse. The Big Z situation is a baseball wide story, not just a Chicago thing. The guy has a massive history of blowups and the team was telling everyone that he was "fixed" all year. I almost feel sorry for Cubs fans, the organization is probably the worst in baseball. But you idiots keep going to games and giving them money because you have convinced yourselves that Wrigley Field should be worshipped and isn't an old piece of shit stadium falling apart full of drunk idiots and old men staring at underage drunk girls from Ottawa Illinois.

So in your attempt to show how Cubs fans are concerned about the Sox, you couldn't help talking about the Cubs? Wrigley and Cub fans? I see .

It's really disgusting how often this team attacks its fans. I don't know who comes up with the plan to gain more fans by abusing them. Maybe their focus groups found they were very popular in women's shelters.
