Demoted to third string today. Did this guy run over Martz's dog?

I wonder if the Bears scouts have already started scouting QB's for next years draft? Surely they will continue the tradition of drafting a QB every year.

Apparently nearly leading your team to a super bowl while your starter is injured on the bench, and his backup does jack shit is not good enough. What more do they want from Hanie to make him the official backup?

I'm convinced Martz had it out for him because he made him look stupid with the Tod Collins (is our 2nd stringer) decision. Martz ripped him in the press recently when he said "Let's not forget he threw 2 INT's in that NFC game".

Lovie & Martz are 2 very vindictave pricks. If the Press asks questions about "why is "receiver X" not playing more?",that means Receiver X will disappear. They always KNOW what's best even when they have proven they don't.

Maybe they are just trying to send him a message about something they are not happy about. We do not know the whole story. I fully expect him to be 2nd string when the season starts.

Didn't Martz have a raging boner over the other qb even before the draft when he was on just about nobodies radar?

I think they demoted him because he looked like a first year player Saturday and the day before he threw 5 interceptions. That probably means he had more important things to during the off season than getting better at football.

Ron Wolf did this very successfully with the Packers and I agree with the philosophy.

The backup QB in Chicago has the best gig of all time. Even when you suck people think you are awesome.

Just admit you hate people that are smarter than you. Obama campaign was arguably the best run ever. He beat the Clinton machine and the GOP lynching machine without a machine of his own coming in. No one could have predicted that. Besides there is a section for you to post your hate. Have you been posting as JR that long?

I see your stupidity is not limited to statements about J'Marcus Webb and Chris Williams.

Another year and another chance for me to prove you wrong again. How did that work out for you last year? Should I recycle your predictions for the past 5 or 6 years or do you plan on amending them? Like every other year I'm sure you know how the season will turn out based on one series. Your analysis of most things is a joke.

Aren't you the dope who is predicting great things for Lance Louis based on his exhibition performance against the Buffalo Bills? You seem to deride the value of such contests when they contradict your opinions, but enthusiastically embrace them when the moment suits you. Still, if you think Louis performed well on Saturday night, you are more deluded than I originally thought.

Last year you predicted the Bears would succeed because their offense under Martz would be "explosive" (your word) and that Tommie Harris and Mark Anderson would be "difference makers" (your phrase) on the defensive line along with Peppers. How did those assessments work out for you?

Your self-admitted homerism may have catapulted you to a correct conclusion about the Bears record last year, but your "reasoning," if it can be described as such, leaves more than a little to be desired. I guess, though, even a blind squirrel can find the occasional acorn.

While The SCORE/Pro Football Weekly's Hub Arkush has been among the skeptical regarding whether Caleb Hanie is a legitimate NFL quarterback, I don't understand why the Barry Bostwick/Roger Ebert/Steve Dahl-looking Mike Martz thinks so little of #12 in Halas colors and gave his second team reps to rookie Nathan Enderle. If Martz thinks so little of Hanie that much, why not place a phone call to another guy familiar with his complex offense? I forgot...Marc Bulger just retired. Nevermind...

Wrong again. Your students have to be banging their heads in class. I said Lance Louis sucked against the Bills. He was beaten several times I believe was my quote. Do I need to bump the thread from last year? Looks like someone has convenient amnesia. When you have a track record of consistently being wrong I guess that's the best you can do. What are your great thoughts on this season?

I think we can dig up more than our fair share of stupid NFL thoughts by Tall Midget, if given the time and inclination.

Riddle me this then, Batman...If Caleb Hanie's not good enough to be Jay Cutler's primary backup this season, who is?

It better not be Todd Collins.  That guy sucked like another guy who once wore #10 in Halas colors...Henry Burris.

That was my mistake about Lance Louis. I guess your asinine comments about Williams and Webb led me to believe you had similar thoughts about him.

Oh, I'm sure you have other asinine thoughts about Louis, just not concerning his performance in the Bills game.

I like Lance Louis. I think he will be a good football player.
