I know he was. I'm saying it was the wrong choice. Cuz that would have been close too and you'd have had to make a perfect throw on the move.

I still think they had a shot at a regular double play, but he also could have tried to tag him and thrown to first.

Once he bobbled the ball the double play was out of the picture. Choo would've beat the throw.

Yes. I know. But he wouldn't have bobbled it if he was thinking double play. He bobbled it cuz he was thinking home plate. He bobbled it cuz he was trying to set his feet for the throw before catching it cleanly cuz he knew he had to rush the throw. If he's thinking two, he doesn't bobble it. That's my point. It was a mental mistake.

Thorton has been brutal, so I'm guessing this will end soon.
