Overall it's a good solo weekend listen (I'm just assuming the Score is too cheap to have partners on weekends much anymore, which is unfortunate) and the occasional contribution to B&B is welcome (not the extended 3-man weave, unless it's to talk about gay candy), but The Goff still has some work to do on...talking.

It's just so very cliche-happy in general, as if there's a contest (both speed and endurance) to get as many words out as possible. Two habits that bug me in particular: calling everything "the ____ situation" and ending many phrases with "as far as ____ is concerned".

So instead of saying, for example, "let's discuss Jim Hendry's firing", it's "the Jim Hendry situation", and then "lets talk GM candidates, as far as the Cubs are concerned".

I am spreading the word so it starts unnecessarily annoying you all like it does for me.

I still like you Jason even though your NBA thoughts get lazy and drive me nuts sometimes.

But it's still preferable to "in my _________ world" or a Duke communications grad pretending to be a doctor or a lawyer.

Goff does have a few bad habits as far as the cliche situation is concerned. But he still puts on a hell of a show.

Every Score show is better with Goff on it.

Are you wealthy or a tool for the wealthy?

No the barbwire is between 2nd and 3rd and the minefield third and home.

Theyll allow a double and point to it as the American Dream.

Shit... I'm still at the plate with an 0-2 count fouling off pitch after pitch.

So you're only allowed to be either wealthy or a servant of the wealthy?

I love the platitudes, although you need to throw a bourgeoisie, proletariat and even a "we must return to the fields" in there as well.

You gotta come full circle.

Yes, in my radio world, this is awful. I had to check with my guy first, but I am pretty confident that this does not fit into my radio world.

You're allowed to be whatever you want. But have you ever actually considered that perhaps the philosophies you espouse are contrary to your own best interests?
