I'm eliminating the Indians.

It's easier for the Tigers. They finish the season with a 3 game set vs. the Indians, but right before that they have 10 games vs. the 3 worst teams in the American League. Royals, A's and Orioles.

Doesn't look good. In our 6 games remaining vs. the Tigers we have to go at least 5-1 to have a shot.

Right now is a huge. The Tigers start a 4 game series vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. Rays are 10 games over .500 and would be winning the AL Central.

IF the Tigers play .500 ball, the Sox basically have to play .615 ball the rest of the way out. They aren't out of it quite yet, but they really aren't in it either. Dropping 2 of 3 to Cleveland was not acceptable. Taking 2 of 3 from the Rangers was nice, but now they have to go west and face 2 studs in Santana and Weaver, however they do miss Felix in Seattle. At least 5-1 is a must against the Tigers.

I know it's reactionary and easy to ridicule the ALL IN silliness, but the moves that were made weren't looked at as bad necessarily. Dunn had some of the most consistent looking year to year numbers out there. It just hasn't worked. To have him and Rios basically fall off a cliff in the same year has been disastrous. It's almost ridiculous that they still could be in it. You almost wish they would just go belly up so you could put the season to bed, and get about the business of looking forward to some Football and hoops. Err, I mean looking forward to some football

Here's my goal. Just try to get to at least 3 back before the September 2 series against the Tigers. Just be in position to sweep for 1st place at that point.

When the White Sox wrap up the 5-game roadie to Anaheim & Seattle Sunday, they return home to host the Twins Monday-Wednesday next week before going right back on the road next weekend in Detroit to start September.

With the exception of a three game series with the Blue Jays to wrap up the regular season, September 26-28 at "The Cell", the White Sox will be facing their AL Central rivals for practically the entire month. That includes 2 day-night doubleheaders on Labor Day Monday, September 5th at Target Field vs. the injury-ravaged Twins in Minneapolis & Tuesday, September 20th at (Not So) Progressive Field vs. an Indians' team that may or may no longer be in the race by the time they play. All that being said, this is "put up or shut up" time for these Sox. ALL IN? Prove it!

I just wish Hawk would stop broadcasting the Tigers games.....he can't the handle his emotions for the Sox games, let alone the Tigers games.

I think you meant Harrelson giving the Tigers' score. I don't think it'll matter what Detroit does if the White Sox don't take care of biz themselves.

Hawk has his i pad and watches the Tigers games while he's broadcasting. You can totaly tell. Sometimes the Tigers are on MLB network and I'm flipping back and forth. He has the hits and runs scored seconds after they happen.

Pretty soon, it won't be necessary for Hawk or anyone else to give the Tigers' score. These Tigers are on their way to the AL Central title.

This team looked great in the offseason, hell remember when they went 7-4. Every Sox fan and almost every analyst thought this team was going to win the division and possibly go deep. There was absolutely no way to predict that all of these guys would have terrible years at the same time. Just as there was no way to predict that our staff would all have career years in 05.

Its so easy to say "I told ya so" and be an armchair manager. I see so many people using the "Comeon, you know it was gonna happen, its da Sox". I didn't hear that once before this season started. Also, the Sox were in contention all but one year over the last decade, so that statement is actually pretty dumb.

If you were somehow able to predict this, than I would like to know what front office you are going to be hired at and if you could get me a job, I would do almost anything to get one right now.

They have never won an Central division title, and have not won a divison since 87! I find that surprising.
