Pick who you want to stay. (Once again need to apologize to Frank for posting in the Sox section)

Trying to steal CGS' thunder?

As far as the poll....I would rather they all leave...in fact they can pack the moving trucks and go to Florida or Vegas.

I'm sure the new manager will turn Dunn into Babe Ruth, Rios into Willie Mays and AJ into Johnny Bench.

If the Marlins are willing to give up talent for Ozzie, then he goes. Otherwise, they both will stay. JR let's contracts run, he doesn't fire.

Kenny. Ozzie is too much drama...they are both very good at what they do, but I'd rather have Kenny.

Ozzie should get the hell out of here for his own mental health.
In a genuine business setting, instead of a Reinsdorfian Frat House, Kenny Williams would be FIRED for Rios and Dunn...period..end of story.
This situation where the General Manager and Manger publicly curry favor with the Owner is beyond childish.
The idea that the General Manager and Manager seem to revel in showing each other up happens nowhere but in a Reinsdorfian operation.
Customer-Fan always gets short end of stick...Reinsdorf's personal relationships and soap opera trumps all.

Sure...Kenny is great at what he does.....He has the 5th highest payroll in MLB and THIS is what you get!!!
Kenny is Jim Hendry with a World Series Ring!!
Maybe Dunn should change his first name to Alphonso!!!!!

I really believe that Ozzie Guillen wants to manage the NL style of baseball after this season and help the Miami Marlins open their brand new ballpark. The business relationship with him and Ken Williams is beyond repair.

I'll always be grateful for Ozzie bringing home Chicago's first World Series title in our lifetime in 2005, but the act has gone absolutely stale. Except for pitching coach Don Cooper, hitting coach Greg Walker, first base coach Harold Baines, third base coach Jeff Cox & bench coach Joey Cora can follow Ozzie down to Miami. It's time for a change!

I didn't vote for either. I would like Hahn as manager. If I had to bet on either of them going (that is a big if) I think they go together.

I don't fault Kenny for this team, this roster looked great and I think this team will have a good shot next year. I think Ozzie has done good overall. They are both at fault for the DV situation.

Also, the media coverage of the DV situation is absurd. So many are trying to act like all Sox fans thought that DV was a "savior", which isn't true. Fans just wanted them to try something different and they refused too. They are trying to reframe the debate. Also, that Cowley article was terrible. One of the worst that douche has ever written.

Kenny is always going for it. When he traded McCarthy, I thought he was crazy. I realized he is pretty damn smart. He has made his share of mistakes, and the recent ones are going to cost the Sox. But he has made a lot of really good moves, and the Sox are competitive almost every year.

Every GM with a fat wallet is going to make big mistakes. The Yankees and Red Sox waste money all the time. The Cubs, Dodgers, and Mets have done the same thing but without the related success on the field. There's lots of bad paper flying around the MLB.

Guys, the Yankees & Red Sox have what other teams don't. Besides unlimited resources in scouting and strong farm systems, they have massive local TV contracts, the Yankees with YES Network and the Red Sox with NESN. It's nothing to those teams. For others in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball, they can't get away with it.

So, if Ozzie is under contract next year but the Marlins want him would he be able to simply retire and then sign with the Marlins a little later to avoid compensation?

I am wholly on board with getting rid of ANY manager if there is legitimate talent coming back in the exchange. Even better, Rios/Dunn/Peavy and Ozzie and you don't have to give us anything.

Ozzie has constantly talked about wanting to be fired or be somewhere else. Let him have his wish.

To be fair, Ozzie isn't bringing up the "getting fired" talk on his own. He is asked about this almost every day for about 2 1/2 seasons. His response is usually "If they don't want me, get rid of me". What's really wrong with that?

I believe he was talking about leaving as early as 2005. In fact, the Score even plays the soundbite of him saying that he's coming back next year on the commercial they run about the title.

Right. But it's not like he's just offering up an "I'm pissed off, I wan to leave" or anything like that. He answers every question he is asked. People used to like that when the questions weren't always "Are you leaving?" or "Are you going to get fired?" His attitude probably isn't any different from most managers, they just keep that kind of shit to themselves or answer in a more diplomatic way.

That's true. Ozzie and his kids have lost the PR war for my support. Hopefully Cito Gaston is available.

Mark Buehrle is the one who pisses me of with that talk. He constantly brings up how he wants to pitch for the Cardinals. I get it, and thats fine if he's asked about it but he constantly brings it up. 9 times out of 10, Ozzie is asked about it and though its a tired and annoying discussion, he generally does not bring it up.

Buerhle would like to pitch for his favorite team. If you were a professional ballplayer, Frank, wouldn't you want to play for the Sox? Buehrle is a baseball fan just like us. Not a ballplayer who would rather play golf or lie on the beach. He goes to the World Series on his own dime when his team is playing. All baseball fans should appreciate that.

Guillen, on the other hand, acts like a hurt child who is constantly pouting because he isn't loved enough. If you want to be loved, maybe you shouldn't attack the paying customers which is Ozzie's reflexive action whenever anyone disagrees with his stupidity.

Wow. Great. Good for him. You missed my point. HE is the one that brings up pitching on the Cardinals. Ozzie is asked about leaving, Buehrle brings it up on his own. I don't have to appreciate him bringing that up all on his own.

Ozzie brings up leaving all the time via his media tools like Oney and Cowley. That's why he's asked about it.

This is a chicken or the egg type thing, Orr. I'm not going round with the Ozzie quitting/fired/retired thing anymore with you.

Good idea. Because it's stupid. Reporters didn't just come out of the blue with "Hey Ozzie, are you going to quit soon?"
