If a buyout occurs, could Baum be the interim (year or so) morning host? They bounced him off Saturday mornings to handle "fill-in" duties. Could management be giving Baum a month or so to get a show together?

It is unlikely management will move/split up B & B. I can't see them doing more with the Murph/Mully & Hanley shows, either. The ratings are "good" and I can't see management risking those ratings at this point.

They've always wanted a show along the lines of Don Imus/Mitch Albom.
Could it be Baum and Drinky in mornings? It would be a cheaper morning show, Drinky could handle the sports, Baum a more general discussion of news, etc (what North was trying to do).

Urkel and the ginger-haired goof would take evenings.

To be honest, this wouldn't be worse than any of the other morning shows they've given us. But while I liked Baum back on BBM, I personally DO NOT want him as my regular morning host now.

I like your angle.

Rock, how would you feel about producing for the Dave Baum Time Machine? Would you mind having to straighten out his hairpiece during commercial breaks? Do you think Jen would object to Saturday afternoon meetings at Myron & Phil's for lunch and an occasional hand job by the rear dumpster? Give us your thoughts. Consider this thread pre-interview preparation for your new job.

Sure. Team him up with Murph, and THEN you'll have chemistry!

(LOL)

But it would work...

Baum? HORRIBLE. Pappy's the ultimate fuck face, but I'll take him any day of the week over Baum. I expect more from you guys.

I am not endorsing Baum as the new morning host. Rather, I simply think Fealz's scenario is a logical one.

And here I am, wondering what happens to Meatpants when SNR decides they had enough of their drive-in guys being Chicago based, and possibly what might be done with Drinky should North be shown an early exit... and things magically come together!

But still I prefer Baum for a weekend morning host. A lot more than I would Larry & Zack, neither of whom are doing much to wow me... (although Zaidman is more on the ball, overall, than he of the Four Breaking Stories)

(There was this fable -- guy wears a belt saying "slew 5 with on blow"... Everyone figures he's a swordsman, but he's actually a tailor who killed 5 flies with a swatter. Our Larry.)
