I think UNLV probably sucks. But I'm not looking forward to playing WI.

That's a potent offense with a ton of weapons.

Don't forget the asshat coach.

Although if he tries to run the score up against IU this year Kevin Wilson may walk across the field and rip his head off and piss down his neck.

Had high hopes for UNLV putting up a fight to make it interesting, but they looked pretty fucking bad from the get-go

RW played great. O-line played great. Defense has to learn to tackle better.

It's amazing how big the offensive lineman are there. They just seem to grow them and when one graduates here is another massive guy to step in.

That is how they grow them around here. I took a peek at the roster and I'd say out of the 10 or so
guys they have playing OL they must average 6'5 350 or so. A bunch of them are 6'7 and 360 though.
Ridiculous. These guys might be the cream of the crop coming out of the Big Ten this year. I have never
seen the Badgers play with a mobile QB like this guy. With their ability to run and this guy behind center
they could be legit. Defense has some issues though I must admit.

Can't tell if Borland was just rusty, or if the defense was intentionally showing plain looks (read that somewhere, not sure I believe it)... but I'm not so sure Borland is a MLB. I like him on the edge. Not sure if there is anyone else on the roster who can play in the middle, which may be why he is there.

Here was my question about Wilson - if he is so good, why did NC State not do more with him at QB for 3.5 years? Is he a game manager and you don't want to count on him to win a game? Just a thought...

We'll find out soon enough Vince. A win against UNLV at home doesn't make him a superstar but
I was impressed with his mobility and has a decent arm. Can't wait for the Big 10 season to start.
Iowa was picked by many to be a surprise this year.

Just such a well-balanced offense. The biggest question mark was how Wilson was going to fit in... the answer: like a glove. I know its UNLV, but they looked crisp. Defense had some question marks, but every defense is going to look a little rusty the first game of the season against a team that they haven't played much.

I think what's most important, isn't how good he was, but how much better he is than the other QBs on the Badgers roster. And it's a lot.

Iowa has a ton to improve on D. They lost 3 DL who were drafted, Sash and Greenwood and a 3 year starter at LB. It's going to be a growing year on that side of the ball.

If the O is as good as it might be and be able to establish a 55/45 to 60/40 run/pass split, it will be a good year. I think Vandenberg will be a good QB but dont want to have him win games just yet.

But traditionally that was always the badgers problem. The QBs were good enough to win 10 but never good enough to win a game on the line.

Last year vs. #1 Ohio State ( I get your point though, more times than not the QB has let them down )

TBone: The Badgers didn't win that game because of Tolzein. They won because they were able to run for almost 200 yards. If I recall, Tolzein didn't have a TD pass in that one.

A better example is that Tolzein is the game against MSU when the Spartans were able to shut down the running O for Wisky (something like 150 yard) and Tolzein wet the bed.

Point taken. More times than not they just ask the QB not to lose the game rather than try to win it.
Will be interested to see if that changes this year.

How did Russell Wilson get this good?

I knew he'd be an improvement but the guy could win the Heisman.

And, can we be certain that Wisconsin didn't pay Cam Newton's dad to get Wilson there?

It's amazing how the talent comes out when one is not buried in a hell hole like NC State

I think you and I should start making up sources and spreading rumors on the internet to get Wisconsin bowl-ineligible by November.

Chris Borland was given $7,500 hundred dollars by a booster to drink a gallon of milk in less than one hour.

They probably paid Wilson's dad with the best ice fishing spot available in northern Wisconsin

After Illinois destroys them in November, I don't really care what bowl Wisconsin goes to.
