Jason Goff's "Bernstein copyrighted disagreement" comment was interesting.
They're so pissed off that people always call them out for acting like Dan.
I'm not saying they are acting like Dan, just sayin' they get pissed when they do.
But don't they know why it was copyrighted?

Goff doesn't know what a bad haircut is for a white guy?
What is the bad haircut for a black guy?

To be fair, Spiegel quit before the fourth quarter of the argument began.

Cowley referred to Levine as Kenny's "guy."

Maybe he'll become Clarence Clemons instead.

It's really unfortunate that of all the people at the station to finally call out Cowley's bullshit, it had to be Spiegel.

Just had a chance to listen to this, and it was exactly what I expected. Spiegel isn't mean enough to hold his own in a debate, and Cowley remains not only Ozzie's lapdog, but also a staggeringly unprofessional reporter with thin skin and a massive meatbally douchebag streak to boot.

Ironically, the guy who comes out of this looking the worst is Bernstein. It's bad enough that Spiegel did his customary job of calling out idiot local writers, but Bernstein has spent the last week discussing how much he likes Cowley because "he gets good stuff."

Yeah but he was just talking about the pot he brings over from Ozzie Jr.

I wish the Score would hire Morrisey or Phil Rogers to be contributors.

Over Bernsy's dead body would Phil Rogers be considered as a SCORE contributor.

Doubt it. IB's right. They could hire Rogers to do middays and Bernstein would fake-laugh his way through tranny like a good little boy.

Dave, you ever notice whenever another Trib guy, Teddy Greenstein, sits in as a guest co-host on Mac's show, they don't do transition or Greenstein leaves ahead of time?

I dont get the Rogers hate. I mean he's dumb but he's pretty much the MLB version of Sam Smith. No hate for Sam.

I don't have hate for Sam Smith, now with Bulls.com, RP. It's just that "B & B" have issues with what Phil Rogers writes in the Trib. They think Phil borders on fantasy...

You mean from B&B? It's because Smith is a regular guest. Exactly what IB is talking about.

There was a complete disconnect in this argument. Cowley was talking about having facts correct which he defines as credibility. Spiegal was talking about the manner in which he arranges and releases those facts which he defines as credibility.

No one is questioning the truth of the facts. If they were not true, Joe would be facing deeper trouble than a sumo with Spiegal.

However, when you pick and choose the facts you present after having them filtered to you from a single highly biased source and those facts result in a column that essentially has the same conclusion day after day after day, you have an intellctual obligation to yourself to see if you might be missing something.

The story is not cut and dried. It certainly is not 90%-10% and anyone with any sophistication realizes that no problem is centered like that. I promise you could find quotes about Ozzie's bullshit wearing on people and THAT being the cause of the breakup. Cowley is, in effect, covering a divorce proceeding and getting the story from only one side.

I know KW is a womanizer. I know two mildly attractive NWI trash he was playing...but here's the thing, Cowley thought he was cute throwing that shit out. Ozzie spends a lot of his time getting shitfaced. He looks bloated. His eyes look tired all the time. I'm sure his hands wander when he's sitting there blitzed while his wife stays in Miami.

All of this is meaningless. There is a lockerroom full of womanizers and drunks. I don't want to know about anything unless it affects the team.

Cowley talked about Spiegal being TMZ. What does Perez Cowley think most of his columns detail...pure Hollywood Babylon crap.

Well said, GD. Also, Cowley kept saying how he was out in front of this story since day 1 which would be correct since I assume Ozzie's been feeding him info the entire time. It was an interesting "interview" to say the least. I could see both sides of the story.

One side refuses to talk to anyone. Except of course when he wants to tell the fans they need to come and pay for his players.

While I don't agree with the media premise of "If they (anyone) refuses to talk, they leave the media to guess as to what is happening" and it seems to be acceptable in all phases of media.
