Is that really so different from putting on an Ernie Banks jersey for opening day at Wrigley?

You have GOT to be kidding me.
The guy who says racist shit and spends all day calling into sports talk radio to make the same joke multiple times is saying that joining a chess club would tarnish one's reputation. Wow.
I'd take a guy with a chess club recommendation on his resume before I take a guy who is great at calling into radio stations and making really bad Fort Knox jokes.

As far as the making fun of the "nerds" or "dorks" as you are inferring, no, I never did make fun of them. In fact, I was friends with a few of them. Most of those guys in my high school were the most fun to smoke with...they had better shit than the meathead football players.

You are forgetting his great accomplishments in rec softball and bowling leagues. His legacy must be protected.

One of my favorite ES stories was when he drropped on us that he has a friend that drives a Mercedes. I was truly amazed as his greatness knows no bounds.

If you went up to your neighbor and told them that you spend hundreds of hours a year thinking about and calling radio stations do you think they'd be laughing behind your back?

burbank steve + Jack Klompus = MATCH!

MORTY: You wanna take a ride?

JACK: No, thank you.

MORTY: C'mon, take a ride.

JACK: I don't wanna take a ride.

MORTY: Why not?

JACK: I don't feel like taking a ride. Do I have to take a ride?!

JERRY: He doesn't wanna take a ride.

MORTY: Uh huh.

JACK: What d'you think? I've never ridden in a Cadillac before? Believe me, I've ridden in a Cadillac hundreds of times! Thousands!

MORTY: Thousands?!

JACK: What? D'you think you're such a big shot now, because you got a Cadillac?

MORTY: Baahh!

JACK: Baahh!

Jack angrily stalks away.

MORTY: Could you believe that guy?

JERRY: Baahh!

JORR for the win! Not only did he obliterate the Brand (isn't that also some sort of term used to describe some facet of the white supremacy movement? seems apropos) but a good % of the board also done got got in the blast radius.

/me goes and hides his vladimir guerrero jerseys from the early 00s =D

edit: aha! "the brand" also refers to the aryan brotherhood. perfect!

Not sure how I missed this thread but some real gems in it from Steve. What an insufferable prick. High school ended a while ago for most people, I imagine Steve still pulls out his letterman jacket when he goes to play poker with his meathead friends. Then they talk about all the chicks they used to bang while trying to hide their closeted homosexuality.

I find it very very hard to believe that steve got a lot of tail unless he was paying for it.

Steve, no one in the world (including the hosts) think calling into a radio show is cool.

Its extremely laughable and people do laugh at you specifically. Everyone has some nerd in them. You must be pretty immature if you havent reached the point where you are comfortable doing what you like without regard for how people will view it. Thats actually kinda sad.

Your nerd qualities include

Calling radio shows
Bragging about calling radio shows
Being texbook Softball guy ("I bat 3rd or 4th and play SS in all my leagues")
Getting Married on Horses
Fantasy football conventions
Still living in a high school state of mind
Afraid of black people

It's sad that you don't think enough of yourself to do what you want in life.

I could understand this line of thinking if a high school sophomore was saying it. For a grown man to still think that way shows some underlying issues.

Tarnish a reputation

In all reality, it all is very dorky. Who is to say one level is worse than another. I'm sure those guys that play the Magic Gathering trading games would think a bunch of guys that sit around in jerseys(nice jerseys boys) and draft make believe teams is really fucking dorky too. To each their own really.

The fact that this has gone 4 pages is kinda depressing. You guys are having an arguement over who is dorkier?

Never fear. Steve in Elmhurst had secretly pm'd degendave and muscholar that he would be potraying a high school lunkhead to stir things up.

This has been a Steve in Elmhurst production.
