Very interested to see if Wisconsin is for real and I'll definitely be tuning in to see Michigan
vs. Notre Dame. First night game at the Big House. Never noticed they always played
during the day.

Oregon State just lost to Sacramento State after their kicker missed a 27 yard FG as time expired. Now Sac State is the 12th rated team in FCS but looking at the teams above them, most of the top teams lost to teams from the BCS conferences so maybe they aren't too bad, but I can't think they compare to Wisconsin.

Badgers roll.

Sacramento State is ranked 12th mostly because they beat Oregon State. They are probably a borderline playoff team this year. Definitely not the top of the class.

Vince, you pretty confident against Iowa State this week?

From what I saw of Iowa State, their QB has some growing up to do and while Iowa's D is young up front, I think they can apply enough pressure to rattle the QB. Plus it's their second game in a newer scheme so I think they will struggle aginst a BCS level defense.

Coker will not fumble twice this weekend. He will roll to the tune of 125 yards on 20 carries and make things easy for Vandenberg.

The spread is probably a fair spread, but I see the Hawks winning by 14.

One could make a lot of money off these fives games alone.

Wisky by 27. OSU lost to a 1-AA team.
Iowa by 20. Not that Northern Iowa isn't a very good 1-AA program, but Iowa St. had to pull out a last minute TD just to win.
Minnesota by 24. New Mexico St is bad, very bad.
Alabama by 20+. They're going to beat Penn St pretty easily.
NIU by 14. Kansas gave up 420 yards and 24 points to a 1-AA team.

General thoughts on the Iowa loss. The defensive line was the weak link causing Iowa to have to blitz a lot more than they normally do which led to holes and windows to move the ball. Jantz was much better today and is going to be a nice QB for ISU. Both teams performed well on O, kinda sucked on D and ISU won the game. Iowa will lick their wounds next week and hope to beat a BCS school in PItt in Kinnick but this is still a 7-5 to 8-4 team.

Honestly, is there any possibility that a falling space station could land on the stadium with both teams in it? That would be pretty sweet.

The good thing is that 1 of them has to lose but the bad thing is that 1 of them has to win. I will probably go for Michigan because they can get their asses beat by the rest of the big 10 but ND needs to lose before the soft schedule starts.

Aren't there ties in CFB?

Anyway, I think the only reason ND is doing so bad is because of pedophile priests. Once they get rid of the whole priesthood, from the pope down, then God will let them win again.

In other news, Jerry Kill has collapsed on the sidelines in Minnesota.

I think this quote sums up the Penn State quarterback situation:

I'm confused...why is the Michigan football team wearing the hockey team's uniform?

Robinson is brutal. I still can't believe all the hype last season. He is missing wide open guys by 10 yards.

Michigan game was fun as hell to watch. Robinson needs to work on his accuracy but I'll be damned
if he isn't one of the best athletes in the country. The way he rolled out and tossed that bomb near
the end of the game, I am not sure there are too many guys who can do that. I think he is a better
passer on the run than sitting in the pocket. I hate Notre Dame so it was great to see them lose.

It may sound odd for a team that has 565 yards rushing in 2 games, but Illinois' ground game worries me a little.

Ford is going to be the main guy and, despite losing some fat over the summer, he still doesn't hit the hole with authority to make use of his power. Plus, he continues to be injury-prone. Young looks good and Scheelhaase is going to get yards but they really need Ford to be a workhorse and he's hasn't been impressive yet against sub-standard competition. He needs to take it up a notch.

I'd take Scheelhaase over Denard Robinson as my QB. Most of the "big plays" by Robinson were jump balls where a Michigan WR bailed him out or a ND player just flat out f-ed up the coverage. Arguably the Illini hasn't had a real test, but the young O-line actually looks ok. And I think Ken is right that Young will play an important role in their running game.

Really happy with how Indiana's D is playing against Penn St. Now their offense on the other hand is absolutely BRUTAL today. If they could score a couple times they would actually be winning this game.
