Well positive-ish. But still!

Even as a hub fan, that's pretty much right on the money...

I have been rough on both Hester & Lovie...but Hester has improved & played well yesterday, & I am warming up to Lovie. Sure he's a D Bag, but I gotta give him credit for what he has done with the Bears. I really like this team & what they did in the off-season. How much fun is it to watch a Bears team sling the rock all over the field instead of 3 yards & a cloud of dust? Screw the running game. This is how teams win in the NFL in 2011 & it is great to see the Bears playing modern day football.

Complaining that Hester did not get into the endzone is really missing the big picture on that play.

They have those cameras on wires that hover over the field, why can't they ever have one directly over the pylon?

Mac seems to be at his most informative and enthusiastic when he is discussing various consumer products. He should be a host on the Home Shopping Network.

They keep telling me this show hits it's stride during football season.

No, Mac's fine. He just sometimes lapses into the mindset that many Bears fans hold 24-7. Which is, not recognizing the homogeneity, parity, and disorganization that constitutes today's version of the NFL.

1985 remains the standard for Bears fans, when not a single pass was completed by the opposition, every run was stuffed for a loss, and Jimmy Mac and Payton put up 56 points every week. Those were great times, but, this is 2011.

There's reason I, like Bernstein, watch the games alone in my living room (well, also my B.O. and incessant mouth-breathing). Because too many of my friends are the types that, upon the first 5 yard completion by the opposition, get red in the face and proclaim "Well THAT's IT for THIS game!" "Bears lose, I'm CALLING it NOW".

Look at the Patriots tonight. If it was the Bears that were tied 14-14 with Miami in the 3rd quarter, there'd be 10 pages here calling for Lovie to be fired.

I don't think I've ever agreed with a post more.

The Falcons do blow, but the rest of this is typical Monday morning idiocy. It was a good win.
