Fridays game is gonna be interesting it certainly isn't gonna look good if Tyson outplays Ben again, especially at home.

Nas, here's the deal. Chandler's gone because he and Skiles loathe each other. And we know Paxson has a hard-on for Skiles. He's gone, that's it. Even if he was here, he wouldn't have gotten us closer to a championship. And Wallace WOULD be more effective if he wasn't asked to do absolutely EVERYTHING on defense. Chandler have more upside? Sure. Wallace paid too much money? Probably. But we won't know until the playoffs come. And the way I see it, the Bulls are headed to the playoffs and the Hornets with Chandler aren't doin dick.

No way. Clippers will clinch that final spot. And I understand they've been ravaged with injuries; but if Chandler's so great, why hasn't he lead them to a better record?

Chandler "lazied" his way into a 22/22 game recently. Too bad he wasn't more aggressive. Damn him.

I think he got overshadowed by KB24's performance.

Without a doubt. The guy was perceived as lazy, undisciplined and unmotivated, gets traded and starts putting up career numbers. Who else but Tyson should get the most improved player?

Nas,

You have driven your point home.
Assuming that Tyson would have put up these numbers for the Bulls, this was a terrible move that as Wallace's skills continue to decline will financially cripple the Bulls in the near future.

Now it's time to start the LaMarcus Aldridge vs. Tyrus Thomas debate.
Aldridge looks like the better player right now, and would have contributed more on this team than the raw TT.

I think his contract is front loaded. He should only be making $14 and $13M in the last two years of his deal...i think.

i figured it out, nas is kenny smith. he just said he'd give tyson chandler defensive player of the year. tyson and big ben could of been twin towers, or for that matter tyson and eddie.

I'm not sure I'd want two players on the floor who offer no offensive ability. Yes they would block a lot of shots, and offensive rebounding is a form of offense, but in a half court offense, you'd be playing 3 on 5.

kinda doin that anyways with PJ plus you could just let kirk, ben, loul, noche or whoever just shoot away and let those two go after the rebound.

Chandler would not have played as well as Wallace did in this opening round of the playoffs. No way. I'll take the playoff play of Wallace over Chandler's play of reg season.

That doesn't change the fact Wallace wasn't as good as Chandler this year and won't be when the Bulls are serious title contenders. They are still a couple of years away. At that point Wallace will probably be a bench player.

They're serious contenders now. And you're saying more about Chandler than Wallace; Wallace is sinking to Chandler's level, not the other way around. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if that dog regressed from here on out.

I think Big Ben has 2 more good years left in him. It would help if the Bulls had serviceable big man to eat up some of his minutes.
He manned up on Shaq in a way Tyson never could, and took the Bulls to the next level - which means he met expectations.
Now it's gravy time.

I think you make a good point- while underwhelming in the regular season, at least Wallace is a proven product. For all we know Chandler's success this year could be his peak.

Don't be blinded by 1 series. The Bulls are not title contenders yet.

You're saying that there's teams the Bulls can't play with? I might have believed that before what I've seen with Warriors / Mavs. Now, I have to give them a real chance. They're not my favorite to win it all, but to say they're not contending for a title isn't fair in my mind.

Quote:
Before this series remember I thought Wallace would be a major factor. Wallace played well against a slow big but I'm sure that won't be the case next series. I think the Bulls will win but it won't be because of the play of Wallace.

Who do you think he'll be going against? I agree that Wallace won't be the winning or losing factor, but I don't see how he's going to be exploited any time soon.

Quote:
Chandler was better this season and he will be next season too. At that point you might decide to open your eyes. I doubt it though. You will find another reason to bash him.

He's lazy and unskilled. Those are two great reasons, IMO. I'll be surprised if this last year doesn't end up being his career-best.
