No it isn't. Adam Dunn isn't a great player. Even if you think he was, he has never been someone a team was satisfied with at any position on the field. No one in baseball has ever complained about Jeter's defense. Only guys on the Internet do that.

One answer, and it doesn't do a lot to help your argument, is that Jeter has put up his numbers while playing the most important defensive position on the field. And he has played that position for multiple World Series champions.

But this is argument for the sake of argument. You, and everyone else who has even a cursory interest in baseball, knows that Aramis Ramirez isn't close to being the player Derek Jeter is.
