I wouldn't mind seeing LaRussa, but if they're bringing back Cooper, that probably rules that out. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an organization guy like Buddy Bell. But I think too much is made of managers anyway. The players have to play.

Would Cora go with Ozzie or has he enough cred to try for the Sox job?

I would think Cora is strictly Ozzie's guy and would go with him or interview for an open job elsewhere.

Rumors out there are that either Davey Martinez (bench coach in Tampa, former Cub) or Sandy Alomar Jr (1st base coach in Cleveland) are top names to replace Guillen

If these are the choices, I like Buddy Bell.

Cowley's story has Cooper as the only coach staying.

If it's such a great home, why isn't he staying here? Is he in his daddy's pocket?

This is officially what he wrote " thank you to all the great white sox fans who always showed support. Chicago the best city in the world will always be home.”

You seem so certain that it will be one of those two very broad things. Aren't you concerned about being pinned down to your opinion later?

Jerry is going to absolutely go and get Sandberg just to burn the Cubs.

No. If Ozzie is gone, Cora will not be back with the Sox.

Any chance Coop becomes the next manager?

Either one works for me. Joe McEwing is another guy who will get consideration.

Edit: Davey Martinez is also a former White Sox.

I'd think that by now, he deserves something other than sitting next to a loudmouth asshole. Following him around would be like sitting next to me from jefferson park all the way to Madison.

Keyser...the report is he's getting a 4 year deal for double what he's making now.

Jeffrey Loria, the Marlins owner, is a hothead. And if he's paying Guillen 4M per year for 4 yrs, he's nuts. These 2 will be at each others throats. Guillen is crazy like a fox for getting this kind of cash. And Reinsdorf is smart if he gets anything decent in return for a manager who clearly had worn out his welcome here.

I agree he's probably earned a shot to run his own show. I just can't see it being with the White Sox.

Is Kenny gonna get Carl Everett as bench coach and Robbie Alomar as a base coach?

As a side note, Alomar Jr was a finalist for the Blue Jays job this year.

I would like to see the Sox hire Frank Thomas as the next manager.

Wouldnt mind LaRussa?

LaRussawithDuncan is the best manager in baseball by far, IMO. Maybe not so much going forward cuz of age.

They should make A.J. retire and become manager. Two birds, one stone.

I think I would rather get rid of Kenny. He has spent lots of bad money and really fucked this thing up. If they blow next year, I would say he has to go.

They may be too expensive for the Sox. Maybe they could get rid of Kenny and LaRussa could perform both roles.

If this is true and they shitcan Ozzie and keep Kenny doesn't that make you think that maybe Ozzie had a bigger say in how this roster was constructed then we were led to believe?

Kenny gave him enough rope and he hung himself.

If that is true then Kenny should still be gone. You do not construct a roster in a way you do not believe in just to appease the manager.
