If Cooper stays on as pitching coach,doesn't the new manager has the right to choose his own people? Is Cooper going to be the Sox answer to Rothschild? If the guy Kenny chooses doesn't have enough balls to bring his own people in, he is already a spineless jellfish.

Spineless? I'm not sure why Kenny still has a job, but I would not define him as spineless.

You mean like when KW was ready to hire Gaston and JR "recommended" that he interview Guillen.

JR does not pay top dollar for new coaches. Look at his track record for both the Bulls and Sox. He won't negotiate with agents for these guys which limits to search to those who are hungry for a job. Those types take what they can get.

...a manager would be pretty ignorant not to strongly consider Cooper.
