for phillies fans, this is exactly what they were looking for. when it was 3-0, i think there was doubt. but getting 9 runs, that's something that's going to give a lot of confidence...

oh yeah...i like it. i wish i could go get a leo's hoagie right now. :P

Why on earth did Greinke have to start on short rest? The Brewers clinched a week and a half ago? Shouldn't the manager have had the playoff rotation set weeks ago? Was this a rookie mistake by Roenicke? Help me out, Hawger.

They wanted to win on Wednesday so they could have home field in this round. Also, Grienke asked to pitch on short rest on Wednesday, because he didn't want to go 8 days between starts. He threw a very easy 6 innings on Wednesday, with only 74 pitches. They decided to bring him back again, and Grienke wanted it just because his numbers and subsequently the Brewers results at home are off the charts. Also, Marcum's number are much better on the road than at Miller Park. Hope that answers your question. :D

I just turned it on and Carpenter was bitching and yelling about something or at himself for sucking it up.

That makes sense. Having home field advantage in these playoffs will be huge. Thanks. You Da Man, Hawger. Go Brew Crew!

Did Jay just give Ruiz a shoulder to the face? That was a boarderline dirty hit.

After watching the replay and hearing Brenly say he 'went in high at the head' there is no boarderline about it. That prick was headhunting.

Verlander is dealing after a rough 1st. C.C has been shaky. Yanks should be down alot more, if not for all the double plays the Tigers have hit into
