i laugh every time i hear north promoting this waste of airtime. has anyone ever won this dumb promotion?

Not to defend North, but he did say there were 3 winners since the beginning of the tournament, and I think one of them he mentioned yesterday

I don't have a big problem with it...it's not exciting unless you're the one doing it, but it's a short timewaster, and North is pretty generous with the $$$ he's giving out.

I think it's good of Pappy to offer up his own money. But why waste time with this on the air. Just take five guys off the air and do it.

Is that money a tax write off? Not trying to be critical, just curious.

Maybe my expectations are a bit low, but there are so many topics/segments that I could do without, and at least this one is sports related. If Mike was told he couldn't do this anymore, he's probably extend Fred's movie reviews to another segment so things could be worse. All in all, I'm fine with this segment, it's not everyday and only during NCAA and things like that.

Like I said it's fine. It's good of him to do it. You'd still get the same caller reaction if you took them off the air. That's all I'm saying. It's not entertaining to those who aren't calling.

Pappy's just killing time because he has nothing entertaining or creative to do. So I guess doing this is no worse then him just talking about anything.

As if the segment wasn't bad enough, now he is incorporating sides and totals of women's basketball.

Waiting for the time when I can finally say
That this has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way

Yeah it takes a lot for me to turn the dial, but anytime I hear the music revving up for 5 team parlay I immediately turn the dial or pop in a cd and come back about 10 mins later.

Five team parlay is the biggest waste of airtime since the North/Buffone "American Idol" disaster.
Who cares about callers picking point spreads on five games. If he wanted to do an e-mail contest, fine. Give the person's name when they win.
Listening to this go on for ten minutes is excruciating. Probably fun if you are involved, but it's like talking fantasy sports with someone who doesn't participate.
