Tom Waddle so far has proved to be nothing special to the station. Just because he is an improvement over Sean Salisbury JUST SAYS A LOT. He's been on for a month and already found it necessary to take a week's vacation. He refuses to work past 9pm, and he has no chemistry with Silvy. Maybe it's just me, but I seriously am not impressed with this guy. He's ok on The Final Word, but that's it, in my opinion.

Maybe you should be like Mac and give 60 days before you make an honest opinion. But so far I am agreeing with you. I'm just waiting for him to go to the 9-12 slot.

I just get a sense that he is threading water until a daytime slot opens up. I have only been able to hear him twice with this shifting schedules and I didn't notice anything horrible, but I don't think Silvy is right for him.

How many times a day does he say, "I just threw up in my mouth"

I'm with you all on this one. This guy is a complete milquetoast, which makes him perfect for ESPN actually. I haven't heard him say anything funny, witty, insightful, or controversial. I have never figured out why Waddle was on the air in any form of media.

Yea, he's nothing special. But he isn't Salisbury. I'm going to give him some time once he settles into the appropriate time slot.

Carm and Silvy weren't anything special in the 9-12 slot but I think most would agree after hearing S&R for a year that we'd rather have them. Waddle and Silvy might not be worldbeaters in mid-day but they will definitely be listenable and not grating as the current show is.
