Here's a blast from the past...Has anyone mentioned Jim Fregosi's name yet? Fregosi was once a White Sox manager back in the late '80s and might be able to help Ventura in his new position. I wrote this on both Facebook & on my Twitter page last night. As puzzling as the Ventura hire appears to be, the bench coach now becomes a more important hire than Ventura's hiring as Sox skipper late yesterday afternoon.

Honestly, I think it will be Buddy Bell. They've worked together for a bit, Buddy can develop young players and help Robin out along the way.

I've heard Joe McEwing's name mentioned...as a rumored replacement for Ozzie before Robin Ventura's surprise hiring as the White Sox new manager. Not so sure about bench coach.
