BEcause with Orton we'd go 0-16 with this team and get Luck.

With Cutler we'll probably win 5-7.

At least we get to play 4 less games with Cutler.

Bears will be favored to win in at least 2 and maybe 3 of the next three games. This was a game you should have expected them to lose if you took an unbiased view of the schedule, even at the beginning of the season. They are still in line for 9 -10 wins.

Vikings
Bucs
Eagles
Chiefs
Broncos
Seahawks
and either the Chargers or Oakland

all very winnable. all teams that are reeling as bad or worse than the bears right now

That's fine. It's a debatable point that they will win. I don't think it's debatable that those games are legitimately winnable.

tell me where I'm wrong. I'm open to the argument given last night, but these are games the Bears will either be favored or on the road at less than a 3 point dog, which to me are winnable games.

I agree GD. At this point with the way they have played, I see no more than 4 wins in there...I hope I'm wrong.

The Eagles game doesn't look like a good matchup for the Bears on paper, but they have 2 weeks to prepare for them and the Eaglos have been the most diasppointing team in the NFL to date.

I don't think they beat EITHER the Chargers or the Raiders, and they may well lose to Seattle. They will probably lose to Tampa Bay and I can see the Eagles beating them despite Philladelphia's woeful start to the season. Even the Chiefs game is no gimme. There are very few teams in the league I would consider decidedly inferior to the Bears right now. The O-line is horrible, the receivers are mediocre and the defense is not very good either. Teams can run & pass on this defense with offensive yardage totals that you never saw in years past. If Peppers is not 100% they will have no pass rush to speak of and it will just get worse. My 7-9 prediction on the season is looking a bit optomistic right now.

I wish Rex Grossman was still the QB here.

So, the Chiefs at home is now a question mark. I was open to your opinion Steve but you lost me.

I'd love to know why they probably lose to Tampa...the same tampa that squeaked by Atlanta and got thrashed by the 49ers. I promise you the Tampa chat boards wouldn't put that as probable.

I'm not happy with what happened yesterday but have some perspective.

The Chiefs game is one that they COULD win. But I just don't see it as a given. Cassel is playing better and I can see the secondary having a hard time with Bowe. Plus, the Bear defense can't even stop the run and McCluster and Jones could do reasonably well vs this defense. I don't think the Chiefs are real good, but I don't think the Bears are either, thats all. It's a game that could go the other way. Tampa has underachieved but is a good team. The game is in London so the Buc's effectively lose home field advantage, but I just go with the better team which I believe to be the Buc's.

Meant 5-7 wins not 5-7 record.

I know you love and miss Orton.

Well so far he's doing better than Orton and about the same as Cutler.

He's doing better than both.

I thought this was about the Gaines Adams trade. Because then I would agree.
