Behind the scenes they are probably things geared to help him towards a better season in 2012, but it makes sense not to make a lot out of it. When a player struggles mightily ad Dunn did in 2011, he is probably more open to changing his routine and doing things that might help him. If he were just coming off a slightly less productive season, he would probably resist changes. Sox fans have to hope he will be diving into a training/hitting regiment unlike anything he's ever employed before.

Ventura's first mistake was saying "yes" to Kenny.

I understand the classics are not all entertaining.

The hating on Hemingway is surpising. (Oak Park Guy!)

Also, I think its kinda defeats the purpose of reading books if you dont like "too many words"

Kenny initially considered Paul Konerko for the job of player/manager.

Just played the clip of Kenny saying it on Goff's show.

"That report is not false," Williams said Tuesday after Ventura was formally announced.

"It was considered long enough for me to realize that Paul is a very cerebral person and he would probably drive himself nuts right now playing and managing at the same time," Williams said when asked how seriously he considered Konerko.

"But that’s the kind of respect I have for him that, yeah, I did consider it. Then I thought I think I would rather him be focused more on hitting third or fourth in the lineup and driving in 100 runs rather than trying to worry about 25 other guys in addition to it. We are trying to win."

Mercy

So Kenny has had Robin in mind for 20 years, but in between he gave Ozzie a job and offered an unorthodox player/manager postion to Paul Konerko first?
