Julius out this weekend. Time for that Reed guy to shine!

Bears defensive end Julius Peppers, who sprained the MCL in his left knee during Monday night's loss to the Lions, is doubtful for Sunday night's matchup with the Vikings.

Peppers did not practice all week. He declined to talk much about the injury following Friday's practice.

Lovie Smith said the Bears have a variety of options at defensive end with Peppers expected to miss the game.

Receiver Earl Bennett (chest) is questionable for the game while cornerback Charles Tillman (hip) and defensive end Corey Wootton (hand) are probable.

Tackle Gabe Carimi (knee) remains sidelined and defensive tackle Matt Tina is out with a sprained knee

Like the thread title. :) Dislike the facts of the matter. :(

By the by, Jimmy. What's with the Lee Majors/Fall Guy avatar? Random mood?

You don't want to know...Besides, Vikings' RB Adrian Peterson has to be licking his chops come Sunday night after 3 TD's vs. the disappointing Cardinals last Sunday.

That's not a beef then. I think they call those roast beef sandwiches.

Not long from now, the Bears will regret giving Peppers a $91.5 million contract, $42 million of which is guaranteed.
As I said last year when they signed j-pep, the Bears had so many other positional deficiencies that they would have made better use of this money to improve a few positions rather than just 1, namely OL, WR, S.

You noticed they had other issues. You'd think you have Elmhurst in front of your name. I could be wrong, but I think you get too bad of a rap around here. Some of what you post makes sense. But you shit on everything Bears after 1989.

Peppers was an impact deal. He's not done.

Agreed. He was a top 3 defensive player last year and is far from done.

I'm not sure if I should say thank you or fuck you.

I'm not sure what the significance of 1989 is, but 1993 is another story.

Surely you would have rather used the j-pep money to get a couple of OL, a WR, & a S, right?

Peppers has 10 sacks in his last 20 games with the Bears. 1/2 a sack per game is weak sauce.

I was bitching about him last week:http://score670.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=62667

He is a great player BUT not seeing results so much this year. He looked much sharper last season.
