Anyone hear Holmes (on Tuesday) saying Cub fans who didn't want to trade Starlin Castro for Theo Epstein didn't "get it" and weren't seeing the big picture?

I'm not going to accuse him of echoing what Bernstein was saying (even though it was nearly identical), but I had to laugh at hearing this though.

Quite simply, Holmes (and Bernstein) don't get it. You don't need to trade an all-star caliber player for him. Boston was never demanding that, Chicago would never had paid that. The realistic compensation is either money or prospects - not your best damn player. To argue that you would give up your most valuable player is just stupid.

Last night, whilst being Kellen Davis' lickspittle, he mentioned he was an Arsenal fan when Davis said he liked playing FIFA with Barcelona or Manchester United. Larry even attempted to add North London street cred to his rep by referring to Arsenal as the Gunners. Tonight, he was trying to explain to the listening audience why the Bears were playing a game in London's Wembley Stadium. He feels the NFL are trying to tap into the crazy and passionate fans of soccer. For being such a big fan of the Premier League, he can't even pronounce the acronym UEFA properly.

I heard that...Reminded me of the time when Walter Jacobson was so pissed about the Baby Richard(?) story many years ago, he actually gave out the Illinois Supreme Court Judge's phone number ON THE AIR when he was anchoring the 9p news and delivering nightly "Perspectives" on FOX32 News many years ago.

I missed this. Are you serious? I don't believe I have ever done that. I never believed my avatar would be the reason no one reads my posts. The content usually is enough.

Seriously, I thought the smarmy CSI Miami guy is a goof and fun to poke fun at. I am now curious what a proper avatar should be as I clearly don't understand the concept.
