I need to get a stronger signal on the other side of my house, and I have been looking at wifi range extenders.

Is this what I'm looking for? It seems like it's the same thing, but I'm not positive.

If anyone is more knowledgeable with this stuff than I am, I'd appreciate a reply - and if you think this is a good deal!

Yeah pretty much.

Im not tech guy, but the adapter grabs the signal for your computer. I mean you wouldnt be adding on, you'd be replacing.

But I think if it has a wider range you might achieve your objective.

Maybe if one of these other assholes can stop arguing over Olin Kruetz and come in here and help a PaPa out.

I now use a wireless range extender. They cost about $75 at Best Buy. They do a better job if you're a minimum of 150 feet away from your source plus another 150 feet away from the extender. Other than that they actually drag down the speed.

that's exactly what it does, i have one for an xbox. extender does what you think.
