That'd be alright...

...I doubt he pitches this well again, especially on short rest.

Well, now they will be able to win it in St. Louis...so that's nice, at least...

...and that was your one optimistic thought of the night.

Here is another one for you lipid, you got Carp going tomorrow and the way Wilson has looked in the playoffs you are clearly in a better position to go up 3-2. The pressure is still on the Rangers, you do not want to go back to St. Louis needing to win both

Rangers haven't even begun to hit yet though. I still like their chances, even if they need both games back in St Lou.

Getting kind of late being Game 5 of the world series

The Rangers needed that win in more ways than one last night in Game 4. For starters, I don't think any Texas starting pitcher went beyond 5 innings in any game of the MLB Playoffs before Derek Holland's gem last night. Two, that bullpen got hammered Saturday night when Albert Pujols gave the World Series record books a workout, tying Babe Ruth & Reggie Jackson with 3 homers in a single WS game and tying Paul Molitor with 5 hits in the game overall in the Cardinals' 16-7 branding in Game 3.

Tonight is Game 5 and I'll be interested to see if C.J. Wilson can follow-up Derek's gem vs. the Cardinals' Chris Carpenter. This should be a doozy. Question is...Does a bad "Monday Night Football" game between the Ravens & Jaguars outdraw Game 5 of the "Fall Classic"?

My faith in their collective WAR will be rewarded.

Is Wilson hurting his next contract with this postseason or will he get paid roughly the same amount regardless? I'm genuinely curious, have no idea

I can think of lots of instances where players have player their way into a massive contract, but I can't think of one player their way out of one...

...nice play by Murphy there...what the fuck was Punto planning on doing with the bat?!?!?!

I'm sure he will still get good paper but I was thinking he could go from a total of $120M (number being thrown around here locally a month ago) to like $80-90M. That'd be significant. He's not been playing well at all.

Lol Berkman kinda selling out Lohse saying the team never felt comfortable last game with him on the mound.
