Anyone know the worst team someone was on and still won a major award? If his last 9 games play out like the first 7 there should be no debate on the DPOY, regardless of Minnesota's final record.

I would think there have been a couple of guys on bad teams who have won the ROY award.

Every time he "ropes" someone, he should be given a 15 yard penalty. If a WR scores a touchdown and does some shit like that, it's an automatic personal foul. I wonder why it only happens to RB's or WR's. Hmmmmmmm. Any thoughts, Spmack?

Yeah I think that's happened a few times and should happen again this year with Cam. Can't remember the last DPOY on a last place team.

IIRC, Cortez Kennedy of the Seahawks won one in the mid 90's when that team blew

2006 - Miami Dolphins went 6-10 and Jason Taylor won.
But you have to go back to 1992 for that Cortez Kennedy 2-14 team for the next last place team to have a DPOY.

Rex Grossman didn't see him.

This is C Wood's award. He needs a few more picks and a pick 6 or two to make up for some of the blown coverage on his gambling but I am confident he can do it.

Allen getting all those sacks on a horseshit team is a lot more impressive than Woodson getting a bunch of INTs on a team that is always ahead so the opposition is throwing 45, 50 passes a game.

No way, not with the secondary giving up 1,700 passing yards a game.

He is accomplished, people like him, he is always doing good things on and off the field. I'm not saying he should win, but he may very well if he can lead the league in int's.

DeMarcus Ware is easily in the conversation for DPOY now also. 12 sacks in 7 games. Between Ware and Allen, Strahan's record could be tested.

Is there a number out there on overall pass attempts that this year is on pace for compared to those of previous years? All these sacks could be a result of a large increase in sack opportunities.

I'm not sure. But I haven't seen any sacks where the QB took the ball and moved quickly to Ware or Allen's side and laid down right away, so their record would still be more legit than Strahan's. Besides, many old-timers insist Deacon Jones had at least 25 sacks one year, forgot which one.

I doubt it. Farve isn't around to let any of them have a free run at the QB to get the sack.

Already covered that. Thanks.

He may have to return Gaddafi's broom stick in order to do that.

Today is exactly what I'm talking about. Woodson can't even be in consideration for DPOY when the other teams top receiver is going for 7/141/3

I didn't see the game, only live stats, but I thought Tramon was the one blowing coverage today on Jackson. I thought C Wood was on Gates most of the time. I only thought he may be considered if he got an absurd amount of picks and pick 6's. He has lost a step and cheats now resulting in big plays one way or the other. Best player IMO on the D for the Pack right now is Bishop. He is a beast.

Just learned that he is also a back-up long snapper. Too bad Mannelly didn't go down before the trade deadline.

He is the long snapper for the rest of the game. He delivered a perfect snap on his first attempt.
