Because it's over, or greatly diminished and what is he going to do? Go back and undue it?

You can ask every single GM, manager, etc the same question and what does it matter?

Those Red Sox teams were littered with players up and down the line up that at the very least raised PED suspicion. Including their most prominent players.

And what teams weren't littered with roided up, tiny nuggeted players?

Thats why I really dont care.....UNLESS

The GM of ANY of those teams comes out and denies any knowledge of anything like PED's!

The Red Sox were at the top of the list of teams during that time.

Because generally reporters aren't supposed to ask stupid questions like that will instantly piss of the new head boss in town of the most popular baseball team in town thus maybe forcing them to sit on the sidelines while everyone else gets interviews with Theo.

You're 100% correct. I'm shocked at the way the media is sucking up to this guy. The complete loss of objectivity that's on display is embarrassing.

I have always thought it would be cool to allow one or two fans to ask questions at press conferences.

Yes, you will get some dumbshit questions, but the guy who has nothing to lose will not curtail his questions in fear of having a press pass pulled.

Theo's amazing run at Boston: 7 seasons 90 or more wins,2 seasons 80+ wins,7 playoff appearances & 2 WS rings. What's there to ride him on?

He left the Red Sox in worse condition (on-field, bad contracts) than he found them and the Cubs are nowhere near the team the Red Sox were when he took them over.

Wow, what an ignorant thing to say. Boston was in complete shambles and playing no better than the Cubs are presently.

Now the Red Sox have 2 WS titles and a perennial powerhouse.

What?????

Theo took over the Red Sox after the 2002 season when they finished in 2nd place with a 93-69 record. They had players like Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe, Manny Ramirez, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Varitek, Johnny Damon etc...

You're calling THAT a complete shambles and comparing it to the current Cubs (and not to mention calling someone else ignorant)???

That's a great idea. They could even screen them and I guarantee they'd get better questions for it.

I'd ask him why he doesn't have a hotter wife. Sure she is skinny and everything, but if I'm the #2 single guy in town behind Brady and making millions, I'm staying single until I slip one past the goalie or supermodel quality comes along. Like they said in Moneyball, its a sign he lacks confidence

They only won 2 WS titles. What a goddamn failure...

Shambles was too strong of a word, but they were pretty similar to the present day Cubs pretty much. A bit more perceived talent on the field, but still not getting the most out of it.

Boston had two division wins in 10 years (simliar to the Cubs). Boston had only won one playoff series in like 20 years (like the Cubs). Boston hadn't won a World Series in 84 years (similar to the Cubs). Sox had been to the playoffs only 4 times in the last decade (similar to the Cubs).

Basically, the Red Sox were okay with a few years in the playoffs where the sputtered and choked. Same as the Cubs.

Theo took over a team that won 93 games the previous season. Doesn't even compare to present day Cubs.

because he is being anointed the great savior and his Boston teams won with a lot of cheaters on it. Theo can pull a Dusty(what are steroids?) but he had to know what was going on. Ortiz goes from scrap heap to 50 hr/yr and MVP because Theo's computer knew he would play at that high level? Take the cheaters off those Boston teams and they don't win anything.
