Yes, I regret having read it. I mean, it's even beyond hyperbole and feigned outrage at this point. Stuff like this just makes you question the human condition.

I wanted to read it so that I could completely understand what was going on and could form some of my
own opinions on the situation rather than just listen to Bernstein's rants. I really don't look forward to this
dominating sports talk until Paterno steps down. I hope he just steps down within the next week. It is
scary that someone would use their resources and physical strength to create such an unthinkable situation
for a young man, all just to bring pleasure to themself.

Matt Millen, PSU alum and on the Board of Sandusky's Charity, breaks down on ESPN. Very compelling stuff.

I heard that earlier today on the "McNeil and/or Spiegel Show"...Compelling and rich!

We need more FredEx's in the sports world. Harmless, self-congratulating garbage players that come off as amusing rather than douchebags.

Compelling and rich, I wouldn't call it, but it's an interesting perspective from a Penn State insider. Psycory's thoughts and feelings that he's posted here are good insight into the real mood of the town.

This is a place that thrives on Penn State athletics as it's release. To have this happen, especially considering how much the Paterno administration is and has been a part of the community for so long, is akin to the longtime priest coming out with abuse alegations now.

Of course it's traumitizing to the victims. It's traumatizing to the grad student because he's finding someone of authority, who has been someone of authority his entire life (McQuerery is from State College) do be a pervert of the highest variety. He reports it to another person of authorty that is somewhat of a dietic figure in his hometown, and he sees nothing done.

I don't think that anyone will know the entire story of actions taken or not taken, or how many victims Sandusky actually physically affected due to statute of limitations issues.

Anyone hoping that the known victims sue the school for everything are probably naive enough to think that the amount of cash they get will undo the psychological damage that will effect them their entire lives.

Paterno needs to be fired. I agree with that. The entire coaching staff and athletic department needs to be let go.

Also, any comparison to any other scandal relating to football is just painting with a broad brush...for all of the corruption, I'm not aware of anything this sick ever taking place before (at the college football level).

The grad assistant is a douche for not doing something more appropriate- like killing Sandoeskids when he was allegedly seen diddling the one child. And now the first mother...best not to get started. Seven more were victimized because these two did not push this.

I imagine that if you interview players from that era you will find quite a few who had suspicions of stuff. I'm kind of suprised Mully and Hanley didn't ask Arrington the question as it seemed like an obvious one to me.

The guy is guilty if only for the Polish football game.

The guy was stalking kids at least as young as 8 years old. I can only imagine how much worse this is going to get. 8? Frightening stuff.

I will never feel apologetic over not letting my kids go to a sleep away camp.

I'm also trying to figure out why people from the charity organization aren't getting a little more heat. Their entire existence is based on the protection of children, they knew of allegations and didn't report.

Also, Spanier is a psychologist and therapist. He had to have some familiarity with predatory habits.

I can't understand why the NCAA isn't stepping in and handling this under a simple theory that every person as that University with some degree of power should be removed, 5 hours ago!

People who had knowledge of this are the ones deciding of what they are going to do??????????????????

Let me correct this...he is a sociologist and a family therapist. Not a psychologist.
Also interesting fact about Spanier is that he is a local guy. We actually went to the same high school (highland park high school).

Jim Delaney should flex his nuts and kick this school out of the B1G. Let them go wander the college football landscape in exile with all the attrition on their coaching staff, roster, and commitment list. Join the Big Least and play the service academies. Cash cow will be on a fitness program really quick then.

PSU is in line to get a Jan 2 bowl invite and could even appear in the conference championship game. The NCAA should be trying to figure out a way to make this not happen to avoid the embarrassment it will cause. Back in the days before conference tie ins, they could have just made a call to some bowl committees and said PSU is persona non grata. Now I think they need to get PSU to agree not to accept any post season bids, which is unlikely.

State Admin people. 4:30, gotta go home. Nothing more for today.

The NCAA could EASILY step in under some bullshit they must have in the 569 page book of bullshit that is suppose to "protect the students". I dont think any physical harm is the question, but the people deciding the fate of Joe Pa , coudl easily be the same people that knew about this 15 years ago!

Herbstreet said it as well. 1998 and you let it go? Lotsa people need to be removed,

Good lord. The players on this team have earned to play in a bowl game and a championship game if that happens. Don't start punishing a bunch of kids for something they had nothing to do with. If you want to revoke the money the school earns, do it. If you want to fire all the people who knew about it, do it. But don't ruin everything these kids worked for.

so a certain Billy Squire song just started playing on the ol' radio, and I thought of Penn State. I'm a bad person.

1,000 students are marching/protesting at PSU right now in support of Paterno and PSU. Police in riot gear are in the area.

It's all over Twitter right now.
These people are amazingly stupid.

If Paterno is forced out, who is gonna not coach during the games at PSU for the rest of the year?
