Thats not at all what it sounds like. You have been on his jock this whole thread and he has been nothing but honest. When you have kids you can't have animals around that claw, scratch, and bite excessively when unprovoked. Regardless of your opinion on declawing it doesn't mean the kitten just needs more TLC. Some animals just aren't fit for domestic life with families.

Driver - this shelter is run by a coworker of mine's wife and they will take any animal.

The decision is already made

jackref is a good cat (no pun intended), however.

Focus Sarley. We are discussing how you would be dead under your own criteria. How do you manage to fish when you have such a ridiculously tiny attention span? This is about you, and about how you suck.

Looking for new cable service, any advice? 50 replies.

I've had to take 4 cats and 3 dogs to be put to sleep in my life, yet I simply ask

Some advice without comic intent: chill the fuck out. You should know this board well enough to realize the expected responses.

Maybe I just should have "manned up?"
Bullshit!
The dog had a screw loose and euthanasia was the right solution.

Maybe it just lived with your chump ass and it was fucking miserable. Your presence has that effect on man and beast alike.

Well, considering my contribution on this board, at least post-wise, amounts to about 20% of yours,
it's not such a safe bet that I could assume that the majority of responses on my cat thread would consist
of bad taste and unfunny jokes. Guess I just don't have my finger on the pulse of the expected responses to an innocuous query, like you do.
I'm gonna go throw my cat into a bonfire, slit my wrists, and listen to some Sugar Magnolia and move to Penn State and I'll be out of your way.
Thanks for your advice, FF.

He just does not fit in with my family. He stalks, prowls, and attacks all 3 of us out of nowhere.
He tries to get outside all the time, and despite him being an inside cat, he's fucking feral as can be.
I feel like if I'm honest about the fact that, plain and simple, he's just a fucking psycho, no one will take him.
There is a shelter directly next door from the vet we take him to, so I could totally prove that I'm not
trying to get rid of him because he's sick, he's just a fucking unlikeable asshole that we can't stand anymore.
As a lifelong pet owner, and especially cat lover, this is the only animal I've ever wanted to get rid of, but we have to.
Help?

Spent a month or so post-katrina rescuing abandoned pit-bulls from New Orleans. A feral cat with a 'tude is no thing.

Two things:

1) You wanted to take on the responsibility of owning a cat. So you got one, and this is the type of cat you have. Now you don't want the responsibility anymore. That doesn't quite make sense to me.

2) Always remember: if you died in your home, that or any cat is 100% certain to eat your body.

Ironic that the people in this thread who don't work simply say that the cat needs more time and attention.

Actually no. When I lived with my parents I was taking care of a dumped cat who has feline leukemia, but not @ the moment.

Cats sense pheromone shifts. All living things release pheromones... Like feeling shifts... They don't see many colors in our spectrum so who knows even what dimensions they can see. Its not like himans where we can only see light reflections...

I mean dogs have similar abilities and I don't think one is better than the other. I just prefer a cat.
