Haven't checked the banners lately for the Cubs - when was the last WS title? National League pennant? Heck, winning season (I know it's 2004)

Tell me what makes the Cubs a top notch organization. I never realized overpaying for mediocre to ok ballplayers made an organization top notch.

That's sad considering how bad the White Stocking roster is this season.

J. Thome, J. Crede, M. Buehrle, J. Dye, T. Iguchi, J. Contreras.... just to name a few will not be on the roster next season simply because the team is cheap.

O. Guillen won't be there because he's a God damn loon and he'll quit. He'll be in Atlanta taking over for B. Cox shortly.

My guess is that nothing will be wrong with him, but they will shut him down like they have 10 other times for a few weeks, and then try again like they did previously.
