Maybe if he would mix in a pass or 3 with the 54 rushing attempts he would qualify for a qb rating.

50% of his completions today were for touchdowns.

QBs that "just win games" with only 2 completions will start losing games at a rapid rate when they start facing playoff caliber teams.

Tebow can do in 2 completions what it takes quarterbacks-of-lesser-gods 20+ completions to achieve.

I just hope Tebow isn't hurting the team with these wins, from this standpoint, there is no chance of Andrew Luck landing in Denver.

Listening to the offense Tebow runs, it could be like the Wild cat, worked for about a year, then teams figured it out and now you don't see Wild cat much.

Nice to get the wins, but just hope is doesn't set the franchis back a couple years.

The offense hardly works now. That being said I hope the Broncos win enough to keep Tebow in as the hand wringing about how bad he is entertains me.

I gotta give John Fox credit for adjusting to Tebows game & putting a game plan together that draws on his strengths. I didnt think he had it in him. Some of the plays the Broncos are running are the same pays that Urban Meyer ran at Florida.
Tebow-winning.

Tebow's game appears to be avoiding pass attempts -- and I don't think that's going to work in the long run.
Seriously, 2 of 8 -- and a win. You can't count on doing that every week and pulling out victories.
If Moreno and McGehee are shelved, I just don't know if this run-oriented scheme will work.

Complete 25 percent of your pass attempts and post a 100-plus QB rating. Sounds like that system is flawed.

Remember when this was the case for Orton.
Don't hear that any more. Going 6-21 over your last 27 starts will do that to someone's reputation.
I see the same fate for Tebow.

That's why Thursday game against the Jets is intresting, the last time Tebow played at home, the Lions drilled them, and the Jets need this game or there playoffs hopes could be in trouble.

Not so fast, Reents. Andrew Luck is Denver-bound, in part because his father and ex-NFL QB Oliver is going to see to it that he doesn't go to Indianapolis or any of the other teams that suck. Watch. This is John Elway, circa 1983 and Eli "Rex Grossman with a Ring" Manning all over again.

As for Tim Tebow, his season is going to end soon. He's not going to get away with throwing just 2 of 6 like he did yesterday vs. a bad Chiefs' team and expect to win.

I never want the Bears to win but I wish they had Denver this weekend instead of a few weeks from now. I think Lovie's defense will be the perfect answer for the Denver Wing T/option attack.

The Bears are the team that ends Tim Tebow's season and the nonsense surrounding him.

You maybe thinking of Cush form Jerry McGuire

If he gets drafted by Indianapolis, Andrew Luck sits for at least 2 years. If St. Louis drafts him, they already gave Sam Bradford a boatload of money. The only other place I see Luck playing is Miami, but I've seen this story before. Just because a bad team drafts him doesn't mean squat, no matter how much $$$$ they offer.

So how do you go from "I dont think he'll play for a bad team" to "He's Denver-Bound"?

SHARK was also certain that Carlos Quentin would be traded before July 31st this past baseball season. Image

Has Oliver Luck said that? No way Andrew sits for 2 years. Indy is the best situation for Luck & it isn't even close. Plus, Indy has a 2 game lead in the Luck derby.
If there is a team that can somehow hijack Luck, it will be San Francisco.

You do bring up a valid point, Scorehead, and here's how. First, as we all know, Andrew Luck's college coach is now the 49ers' head coach in Jim Harbaugh. Second, the jury is still out on former #1 pick, quarterback Alex Smith, who hasn't been all that great since the 49ers drafted him #1 overall in 2005. Scorehead might be onto something...

I could see Harbaugh making a trade like the Ditka - Ricky Williams trade. Trade 4 or 5 players for the first draft pick.
What would happen if Luck says that he will only play for the Niners? If someone else drafts him & he sits out for a year, does the team that drafted him still own his rights, or is Luck able to sign with whoever he wants?

That's a great question, Scorehead. I remember the Raiders drafted another QB the year after the Niners drafted Alex Smith #1 in JaMarcus Russell. If I remember correctly, Russell was quite a holdout with Oakland and didn't sign his first contract until after the regular season began and I thought there was talk about him holding out all season. Russell's no longer in the NFL, but I'm unsure if a player has ever held out for an entire rookie season and ended up getting drafted again the following year.

A couple things here

No one is ever making a Ditka Ricky Williams like trade again. It set the franchise back years.

Alex Smith is playing very well. Im not a fan of his but if the Niners are really that close they probably dont wanna use a first rd pick on a position already playing well.

And if he was drafted and didnt sign he would go back into the draft pool the next year

If you wanted to find the term "game manager" in a dictionary, you'd find not only Kyle Orton's name when he started 10 games for the Bears in 2005, but Alex Smith's name now. A lot of people aren't convinced Alex is the long-term quarterback out there in San Francisco, despite the Niners' 8-1 record now.
