ESPN.com reports: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh called his removal of Jay Cutler's helmet Sunday while tackling the Chicago Bears quarterback "part of the game" and defended his team against accusations of dirty play.

"I like to punish the quarterback," Suh said in an ESPN "First Take" interview. "I like to punish running backs for them trying to make plays on my defense. Whether it's dirty or aggressive or whatever that may be, we're going to continue to play that way and make sure we stand up and make sure teams don't run over us."

I admire the guy's passion, but sooner or later somebody is gonna chop block Suh and he is gonna get a knee blown out. Given some of the things he has continued to do and say, it would be hard to say he didn't deserve it.

Exactly. It really won't even be a meatball thing to do. He better hope that he doesn't significantly injure a QB with a play like that because the rest of the game they'll be going after his knees.

The guy has a clear pattern of this. The next time it happens it won't be viewed as an accident even as he continues to claim that he's not doing anything intentional.

At that point I'd be curious to see if he decries such dirty play or 'just takes it'.

The entire Lions organ eye zation said the Bears were the ones playing dirty on Sunday. Lets not forget the fact that Briggs' hit was as clean as it gets and Moore only got the heave ho because he nearly had his helmet ripped off.

Suh, maybe you and your teammates should start with the basics of being able to stop the run and then start worrying about more complex things like hurting people.

You would think the Lions were a good defense by the way they talk.

If he played for the Bears, the Chicago meatballs would love him.

I think he's a good player. Maybe not as good as everyone thought he was last season. But still, I'd love to have him playing DT here...

I don't think I'm a very good match-up ....

I have no problem with the way Suh plays and would welcome him to Chicago with open arms. Football is a mans game god damnit it Doug!

I like him. I dont think hes as dirty as hes portrayed to be. Its just that footballs been so pussified it looks worse than what it really is.

It's funny that he used the phrase "make sure they don't run over us". Suh sucks at run defense.

Of course he'd be loved but they'd still get mad at him for all the penalties he gets. That's only going to get worse too until he figures out that you don't have to play with intent to injure.

It's kind of like the dumb nfl players that can't seem to figure out that you can't take a wr leading with your helmet any more.

I don't think so. I think they'd see him like Jake Peavey, flapping his gums while teams are running on them all day.

Well, after that fiasco today its clear that he is a marked man in the NFL. Suspension should happen and its clear that Jim Schwartz has done nothing to stop Suh's dirty play. He deserves every punishment he gets-- both on and off the field.
