I think it has more to do with regional rivalries. Houston can now be more of a rival to the Rangers. Brewers keep their solid rivalry with the Cubs.

Oh I agree with you on this premise, just thought Kornheiser made an interesting point that I hadn't heard from
anyone else in print or on the radio. Milwaukee is also developing a nice little rivalry with the Cardinals.

They need a Wild Card since there are only 3 divisions per league. I'd be just fine with them leaving
things they way they are.
