It should go to the networks for inflating his importance.

Like Mike Maiock? What a douche he was last night. He said, and I quote, "There isn't an offense in the league that is harder to prepare for, than Denver."

I guess THIS GUY hasn't heard of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Tom Brady.

When Tebow ran for the TD to take the lead, he said, "there is something magical about this kid". Their defense scored almost as much as the offense.

Mike Mayock is easily the worst color analyst on TV. He is in over his head. Its a shame because Brad Nessler is great & NFL Network had the chance to put a great team together. Instead, they have a color guy who sounds like he has a mouth full of food.

They have no use for Tebow as they want to only talk about children being raped at Penn State. Seriously 25 hours of coverage this week on it. Might be a bit much.

Sure he has. But he's not calling those games. He's promoting the game they made their weekly investment in. As for switching to praise of Tebow... geez, you guys need to stop projecting integrity onto these announcers. They have none; they not there to tell you the truth, they are there to entertain.

Sportswriters, the same thing.

I think I might know what Tebow's problem is when he throws the ball. I see him throwing up all these wounded ducks, and I wonder...

Maybe he's actually right-handed?? :sunny: :thumright:

Jake Plummer weighed in on Tebow yesterday. According to Jake, " I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ then I think I’ll like him a little better. I don’t hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every single time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff."

Tebow to Plummer: I’ll take every opportunity to praise the Lord

Posted by Michael David Smith on November 22, 2011, 12:15 PM EST

Former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer recently offered a critique of current Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, not because of the way Tebow plays the game but because of the way Tebow expresses his religious beliefs before, during and after every game. Today Tebow responded.

In an interview on ESPN First Take, Tebow was asked about Plummer saying that he doesn’t need to say he loves Jesus Christ all the time. Tebow responded that, in fact, he does feel the need to say he loves Jesus Christ all the time, and he has no intention of stopping.

“If you’re married, and you have a wife, and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife, I love her, the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and have the opportunity? And that’s how I feel about my relationship with Jesus Christ,” Tebow said. “It is the most important thing in my life, so every opportunity I have to tell him I love him, or I’m given an opportunity to shout him out on national TV, I’m going to take that opportunity.”

There’s a distinction, however, between what Plummer criticized Tebow for and what Tebow responded to. Plummer wasn’t objecting to Tebow saying “I love you” to Jesus. Plummer was objecting to Tebow saying “I love Jesus” to the public, and saying it in just about every public appearance he makes. There’s nothing wrong with a man saying “I love you” to his wife every day, and there’s nothing wrong with a man saying “I love you” when he prays every day. What Plummer was saying is that he doesn’t think Tebow should inject his religious beliefs into a football discussion. Just as Plummer would, presumably, think it a little weird if an NFL player mentioned that he loves his wife in every interview.

But that leads to the next thing Tebow said in his interview — that his love for Jesus is greater than a man’s love for his wife, greater than Tebow’s own love for his family and greater than Tebow’s own love for football, and so it doesn’t matter to Tebow what Plummer thinks. Tebow said his relationship to Jesus is more important than anything else.

“I look at it as a relationship I have with him, I want to give him the honor and glory every time I get the opportunity,” Tebow said. “And then after I give him the honor and glory I always try to give my teammates the honor and glory, and that’s how it works. Because Christ comes first in my life, and then my family, and then my teammates. I respect Jake’s opinion, and I really appreciate his compliment of calling me a winner, but I feel like every time I get the opportunity to give the Lord some praise he is due for it because what he did for me, and what he did on the cross for all of us. I really appreciate his opinion and I respect him, but I still will give all the honor and glory to the Lord because he deserves it.”

Tebow added that he thinks being a Christian has helped him as a football player “because it gives me a peace beyond all understanding and it gives me a sense of comfort.”

But Tebow did say he has no hard feelings toward Plummer, who has said he thinks it’s great that the Broncos are winning games with Tebow at the helm.

“Thank you,” Tebow reiterated he would say to Plummer, “for the compliment of calling me a winner.”

Good for Tebow.

Try to find an interview where Reggie White didn't talk about God. He said the Lord told him to sign with Green Bay. I don't recall anybody getting on his case about it.

That was after he was out of football.

And those popsicle stick computer are slow as hell...and sticky. Avoid 'em.

I am on your side, Dr. Kenneth Noisewater. Reading Reggie White's name simply made me think of one of the most uncomfortable speeches ever given.

How about when he switched to another faith after he retired? I can't remember what it was but he became Muslim or something else.

Reggie could say whatever he wanted in that gruff raspy voice. Tebow has the voice of a gay teenager.

Spreading the word of god is one of the main objectives of Christianity, one that many Christians aren't very comfortable with because they are afraid of facing the kind of criticism Tebow is facing in an increasingly secular world. As a Christian myself, all this has really made me ask myself how good of a Christian I really am ( i know i am pretty flawed in a lot of ways) and what I can do to improve my relationship with God and what my responsibilities are as a practicing Christian. So for that reason, I guess you can say that through this whole story his story has had an influence on me in subtle ways, so I wish him well and I hope he can find success and withstand the onslaught of negativity towards him regarding his public displays of his devotion to Christ.

i find it interesting that through the massive amount of exposure this guy gets, and some of the negative stuff you hear about him on the radio and making fun of "Tebowing" and all that - even that negative stuff brings more attention to what Tebow says and does, and the more microphones and cameras get placed on him giving him more and more of a public forum to do what he consistently does, spread the word of Jesus Christ. In that way it seems to me that the ones talking about it all the time and criticizing him for it are the ones actually working hand-in-hand with him in spreading the word. The constant talk about it positive or negative is the driving engine behind his ability to reach so many people.

Bless me father for I have sinned...

I tend to confuse mofo with RFDC. And BD and Beardown. And for a really long time, I thought KS was RFCD, which meant I also thought he was MOFO. :?
I did bad things with a mult... a couple times. Kim Jong Il was strongly inspired by Mao.
A couple winters ago, my boss made me go pick him up a beef and I had brought my lunch and I wasn't planning on going out but I had to cause that rat bastard wanted a beef right, so I drove thru the drive thru at Zippys and I opened up all my windows and drove back in the absolute freezing cold for half an hour to give him a cold ass sandwich. Showed him.

That's all I got for now.

Tim Tebow is laughing at this post while counting the millions of dollars in sponsorship deals he'll be getting by going out and being God's qb. He's not spreading the word of God. He's spreading that he loves God. It is always linked directly to him and is almost always in reference to accomplishments he's done.

If you want to spread the word of God, go do that and quit football. Then again, people like you buy into it as more than just a way to make more money so good for him. If he can take advantage of those who are willing to buy the fact that the targeted PR campaign he's had since high school is real then good for him. It's no different than Vick claiming he's "reformed" or Roethlisberger claiming that he's a "new person".

At least Irish Boy can't say that I just hate Tebow because of Orton now.

So you have the right to share your opinions and feelings but he doesn't? Yes his constant evangelizing is over the top for most but it is harmless. If you don't like it don't listen.

He has the right to share his opinion but no one is saying that I'm "spreading the word" or pretending like I'm doing some great thing for humanity by sharing them. Tebow fans act like he's converting millions of people from the other religions. The only thing he's doing is converting his love of God into millions of dollars.

I don't care that much but when MOFO and others start to get into the "Tebow is doing something bigger than football" garbage I respond.

But that is not what you said. You said, "If you want to spread the word of God, go do that and quit football." And then in your very next sentence you said it's ok for him to stay in football and continue to take advantage of all the misguided souls that believe his message.

1. If all this is just an act then his real future is in Hollywood.
2. Pick a lane.
