Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to retire from Florida only to come back a couple years later. I was surprised when he left Florida in the first place. He is still so young.

He was able to cherry-pick talent from one of the best football states, had won two titles, coached in the toughest conference, paid very well, etc.

Ohio State is a downgrade from all of that and they may be facing a postseason ban. I guess the positive is he will find it a lot easier to go undefeated in the Big Ten than SEC.

Ohio still has some talent and he's from there. With dOSU money, I don't see why he can't bring dOSU back as the perennial B1G powerhouse. Frankly, I'd love for him to fall on his face, but I doubt it will happen. But I hear what you are saying about a postseason ban, but frankly I think he would be a little bit more longer term focused. A post season ban might be a good thing, because it gives him a hear to get some players he recruited into starting spots.

Once he brings the players f/ the florida pipeline up to osu to play w/ the best midwest athletes I don't think many teams in the big ten will be able to contend... Remember, Urban's best teams played great defense too...

Urban Meyer accepts the postion today and right now is the coach at Ohio State.

Not sure where to put this, but this is going to be a lot of points come together.

With Urban Meyer going to Ohio State and the way Hoke has Michigan going, the rivalry game between Michigan and Ohio State and there was talk before the season, may have to move to October.

THese 2 teams could play around Thanksgiving and then watch the same game the next weekend in the Big 10 Title game.

I thought the Big 10 title game was great over the weekend, but it will be tough for people to take if the Michigan-Ohio State game is moved from Thanksgiving to earlier in the season.

Urban hasn't lost a step. He is picking up right where he left off at Florida.
